Gurpreet words will force Fateh more towards Tejo coz he knows what he has done to her and how she still loved him. Plus one thing that connects Fateh to Tejo most right now is her last moment during fire which only he knows. She was pregnent with his child ! (Nobody knows it. Infact Chamiya will make sure nobody ever knows) . Fateh does holds himself responsible for Tejo's present condition. She came back for him. Was carrying his child. As much as I want them to get married asap but why does Fateh need to marry her to save her from the society? Why does she need to be married to a man to deserve basic human decency and respect from the society?
She has just lost her mental stability, it can be treated. Even if she never heals for example, Fateh if he wishes can still be on her side supporting her and no-one should be questioning any of them.
Also, we have to remember Tejo is not in her normal state of mind, so now if Fateh fills her maang just in a hit of the moment to shut everyone up it's technically not right. She's mentally a child rn, she can't take descision for herself. But, I get it. We are not supposed to think so deep but my point is yes I want them to be married already because I don't trust J or the writer but I feel at the same time Tejo deserves respect and dignity in the society regardless of her mental state or marital status. It's as simple as that.

Same thing came in my mind and then i googled uf mentally unstable people can marry. And what popped up is exactly what you wrote. Is the person capable of taking decision for herself. Which i clearly see that Tejo is. How? Here i go.

Recent amendments in indian law have made sure that people with mental challanges or illness can marry till they are self aware and know what is happening to them. Tejo knows it very well. Plus she is getting her Fateh related memories back. She has faire chances of getting better even if not same normal as she was. So Tejo can give self aware consent to marry Fateh and marraige will be legal too.

Here is the thing married or not Tejo is not going to get any respect. Even after marriage I do not see most of the people accepting her they will pity Fateh.
Fateh is the only one who loves and respects her now and will do regardless of marriage. However marriage will shut down all the comments of Gurpreet and others about their relationship.
Yes it is really disgusting how everyone treats her like a burden but now she is not of any use that is what she is for them. Tejo was a cherished diamond until she was able to do everything for them.
I also hate the silence of other members.
Simran owes everything just to Tejo. Without her nobody would have accepted her or gotten her married. And now she is just standing like a mannequin.
