i read so many interesting ff here....and its such a treat reading dem!!!!
sometime back i decided to try writing one of my own....its my first attempt so plz plz do read and give me an honest opinion here so i can improve!!!

Introduction
It was a beautiful night,with the star-studded velvety sky and the moon just peeping through the clouds,the sound of waves gently rolling into the sand,a slight breeze in the air.....it was a night made for romance,a night of dreams,of soft music,and tender love.....and these where the thoughts hazily drifting through the mind of that lone girl sitting on the beach a distance away from all the people around.With her skirt billowing around her ankles,the wind teasing her hair and the soft perfume drifting across.....she presented a picture of soothing emotions.With her mind drifting it was no wonder that she did not hear herself being called........
'Ridhima.....for heavens sake....what are you thinking about huh?!! I have been calling you and calling you for like ages....did you even look at the time?? Its time to leave,actually we all should have hit the road 15 min back.... uff,seriously when you get into your day dreaming moods....the world just ceases to exist!! Now what are you waiting for,lets go.....dad's waiting!!'
And without waiting to see if her younger sister followed or not she turned and started walking back to the curb,leaving Ridhima to scramble after her as best and as fast as she could.Looking at them both no-one could ever be able to guess that they were sisters,so very different they looked from each other.Where the elder was tall,beautifully propotioned,stunning with her sharp features and an easy confidence,the younger was more classical in her looks.....she face held a silent glow that reached out to people over a period,and when it did it stayed forever.It came from the innocence peeping through her eyes,the softness of her features,the delicate turn of her lips..But above all it came because of a reflection of her beliefs,her dreaminess,which was precisely the reason why her ears where now getting blistered!
"Beta....kaha kho gaye the tum ha.....kitna dhondha tumhe!! I remember telling you quite specifically not to wander off...when will u ever learn to keep track of things....tum ab bachi nahi ho...act your age!!"
Even as he said it,he felt guilty,come what may he just could never see his daughters hurt...especially his younger one.
"sorry....papa.I never meant to wander off....its just that I started thinking and kind off lost track."
"Dad,now please...if you have to scold someone then it should be me.....Ridz ki koi galti nahi hai....i should hav kept track....kisi ko daatna hai to mujhe daanto"
And thats how it had been since his wife died,Dr. Shashank thought to himself.....Anjali was so protective of ridz,for her the only person who had the right to scold ridz was her and that ws it.
"acha chalo...ab chalna hai ya yahi par rahne ka irada hai?Yaad hai na kal tum dono ka pahla din hai sanjeevni main as interns!!"
So saying he sat in the car followed by his daughters,and sped off.

He saw his best friend take the seat that he had abondaned in pursuit of girl that he was now officially hooking up with.It never failed to surprise him how different they both were.Where Armaan was a devil on a spree,he himself was just a simple guy next door.This Atul decided was the joke that mother nature was so fond of playing.
With the music now playing to a soft romantic rhythm and the lights turned down,he surveyed Armaan sitting across from him through his glass of black dog,with his arm casually around the girl.And this was what they called dependency....a fine quality especially in a friend.
This seemed like the perfect time for reminiscing,looking back he just couldn't figure out how they had become friends.It was the first day of his exchange program and party was on full blast.They had gone to the beach,his first time.Pretty confident of his swimming he immediately dove in the water and started cutting across waves with his powerful strokes....looking back he wondered how knaive he was,but then they had bin kids.....everything had been going great but then luck had turned and his right hand muscle had strained resulting in a severe cramp!!He could still feel the water in his hair as he struggled to keep afloat,the instant drop of his heart and the panic that had cut across his system.At that time he couldn't even remember breathing,his legs slamming in the water in a desperate attempt to keep his face above water.The pain had been killing with its severity and in his screaming brain he had almost given up,when suddenly he felt a pair of arms snake around his waist,pulling him towards the shore.He still remembered armaan ordering him not to give up.The screaming as his friends thought of him as dead sounded as a vague sort of humming,and then he was being dragged in the sand.That first painful drag of air in his starved lungs......he would never forget that moment when armaan was dragging him to the shore heedless about himself.Later he came to know that Armaan had just started learning how to swim and that was also his first attempt at swimming in the sea.If the tide had been high they both would have been swept away and that atul thought as he saw armaan lounging made them more than just friends...it made them brothers....and as brothers were wont to do his was making him go absolutely crazy with is ineptitudeness!!!
"Geez,man...i still cant believe it dat v r doctors in Sanjeevni!!But if we continue for long we will have to give it a pass bro!!"
"Hey....now what bug just crawled up on you huh??......We are just chilling ya......what's the harm in that??"
"No harm except that its approx 12 and we gotta be up by 7 to be able to report on time......don't tell me you lost track of time??"
"Oh....hell.Damn Damn damn......I so completely forgot......sorry babe gotta run!!! call u tommorrow ok!!" so saying he got up..signalling for the bill without sparing another glance to the girl who was pouting so prettily.
"Do you have to leave now....we were having such fun", she said trailling her finger on his sleeve in a seductive fashion.
"Hey,atul..yaar tu na gaadi nikal parking se mein abhi aaya.." and side-stepped him to face the girl now standing with a confidence which he now found irritating.
"Listen babe save your charm for someone who cares..for you are just wasting your time here" and ignoring her stunned expression turned around to leave!!
That should make it clear to her that no one manipulates me thought armaan to himself with a bitterness...if there was something armaan malik hated then it was the games some women played around with guys.....it ws just such a cheap trick...nd he for one did not have any time for them!!Life was just that simple,he thought.There was no past here only an indifference,and cool attitude he exuded which he now turned up full blast for the ladies waiting for there cars.
And so it was nearly an hour past as atul eased the car away from the disc,not that he was complaining.
"U know after dat fiasco u had wid d deans daughter,i never thght he wud giv u a gud ref man"
"Abbe,yaad mat dila yaar....dat girl priya...m just glad dat everythin got sorted. bt her dad's a wonderful man,no doubt abt dat"
"true true....chalo issi baat pe,lets end d night,aur phir kal jaana bhi to hai na....dont wanna b late man"
"oh cum on,atul,armaan is never late....every1 else is just early!!"
"yeah yeah...whatever. Baat man le bhai,apna attitude yahi pe chod de,suna hai dr. keerti's d non impressive kinds wid a very low tol level,u really dont wanna mess wid her"
"we'll c abt dat tomm. ,fer 2day i hav ummmm had actually"
"sonica...i belive is d name of d babe....seriously armaan,atleast keep track of her name fer 1 nght!! m tellin u 1 day u'll fall nd den we'll talk"

"abe oye...casanova ki aulaad....its sonica not monica......abhi ke liye to yaad rakhle....last time yaad hain na kya hua tha!!!"
"yeah yeah whatever....driver tum gaadi chalane mein dhyaan do!!"
