And the golden phase in everyone's else's life was when she went incognito and locked herself up inside the house, pretending to be a Jogan for 5 years

If vanraj’s affair had not been revealed or if anupamaa had ignored it she and the entire shah family would likely be much happier than they are today.

Toshu and pakhi would not have become as toxic as they are now. Toshu was always selfish and ambitious in his career but not as toxic as he is today. Pakhi, while a spoiled brat like many teenagers became worse due to the revelation of the affair, her parents divorce and the remarriages of both parents. These events shaped who they are now. Its sad, but true.

Anupamaa didnt just ruin the lives of her own children, she also ruined the life of her adopted daughter and her dumchalla husband. She ruined everyone’s lives.

If she was truly serious about her new udaan's after divorce, she wouldnt have paid attention to vanraj and the shah family in the first place. And if she still wanted to be the shah family's doormat even after her remarriage then what was the point of getting divorced and remarried?? She could have easily ignored vanraj’s affair with kavya.

Now she has managed to ruin the lives of every character in the show. Everyone’s current situation stems from that one important decision she made in the past.

So what does this show actually teach?? That there is no need to divorce your husband if he has an extramarital affair. Just ignore it and continue as you did before.

What a sad outcome to Anupama’s journey(5 or so years of episodes seem wasted on this depressing show.. .. all those Udaans and finding a loving family for nothing. All those lectures she made on women empowerment for nothing because she didn’t practice what she preached. What’s even worse is that on this journey Anupama also left a negative mark on Adhya and Anuj’s lives and involved them in the toxicity of it all. I feel bad for Aadhya the most.

No character development or story development whatsoever. Instead as the show stretches on the characters stoop to new levels of vileness.
