It's the same reason why there was an outrage when Jay Shah kept grabbing the WT20 trophy and raising it over his head as if was part of the squad that won the cup. It's a bit crass and reeks of glory-hog-ness

Honestly, it is wrong IMO. it looks like they both have won medals. She could have hold both medals and john could have posed with her . Netizens are velle but kbhi kbhi point hota hai

Lots of fans supporters want to take their picture with trophy medals etc - at times they are heavily involved emotionally/supporting - nothing wrong with it. Just because they lift or touch it doesn’t make any lesser for the winner. World knows who has won. What if she had offered John to hold one? Obviously she doesn’t mind otherwise she would not have allowed this.
Sometimes netizens can do without nitpicking imho.

I don't see the harm either. If he did it right after the ceremony in the Olympic venue or while they're doing a cover story on her he appears on the cover like that, that could be annoying but this I don't see the big deal
