Well... there's not a lot of news as yet, except the rain has been pretty heavy in the last 15 minutes. It's confirmed that this match needs to start by 4.46pm, for a five-overs contest, or it's curtains for England.

There's a lot of water on the covers as well. There's still ample time left, that's the positive for England.

1.58pm We are two minutes away from that proposed "update", but I think we know what it'll say. It's damp. And it's not going to be playable in a hurry.

They called off SL vs NEP and IND vs CAN so fast

But they are dragged IRE vs USA and ENG vs NAM for so long smiley3

Whatโ€™s with the different rules for different matches on when to call off the matches?!

14:00 Local Time, 18:00 GMT, 23:30 IST: "So much water has fallen, it looks a challenge to get things ship shaped in any quick sort of time. We'll be losing overs from 2:30 PM Local Time (half an hour from now). We have to be patient. At the moment, it has eased, but it just seems to be building around us every time we think we are getting a break in the weather." says Ian Ward on air.

coz Ind already qualified. But eng isnt same with usa as that match would  have decided fate of pak also hence delay

they called off sl vs nepal pretty fast though and it actually costed both teams their spot in some way or other. if nepal had won vs sl, even if they lost to sa if they managed to win vs bd they could have a chance to qualify with same pts as bd and ned. also for sl if they win vs ned and had won vs nepal they would have had a chance too.

They are being considerate towards big teams alone   . May be if that match was imp for SL they would ve dragged  SL vs Nep. smiley24

If this match gets washed out and if it's rained in tomorrow match they would call off that immediately AUS vs SCO .  No impact . Same with IND and CAN
