Re: Aliya...it was just hard for me to believe that in 2024 also a girl can be cowed down like this that if you don't agree to randomly go sleep with another guy for a night, you will have no other options in life since current husband ne divorce de diya hai....that too she's an educated girl - a friggin engineering student and usko itna majboor kar rahe hain....this feels like a stretch to set up the drama but chalo the performances and direction is tight so you can roll with it. Also felt really bad for Aliya that she had to be made to verbalize how it is impossible for her to do this as a woman when that loser husband was going on victimizing ki oh this will be so hard for me to go through with blah blah.....she was even willing to be a naukar in their house and telling him ki you marry someone else if you'd like....just really sad to see a woman being reduced to this....even though she verbalizes how they are all treating her like an object, the premise is just depressing.

Oh and another scene that I guess you already mentioned was the way Aliya tried to wiggle out of this by saying ki Ibrahim is like a brother to her and such a pious, nek banda but ofcourse evil saas didn't give a damn.

Bilal is too good in this role...and if his character gets the kind of arc this is building up to, it promises to be a magnificent one. Award worthy role lag raha hai ekdum.

Yaar yeh lagta hai ke humein ke exaggerated hai but unfortunately yeh aaj bhi ground reality hai majority if ladkiyo ki in Pakistan.. esp from.the class this aliyah is being shown she is shown from bas paise ke ameer but waise jaahil log jahan itni hi jahalat exists uppar se they are all about their fault and raub but do takke ki actual education ya progressiven3ss nahi hai..I have encountered such jaahil ameer in real toh haan yeh hai though it shouldn't be that dependent .she has nothing of her own na financial support na waise kuch and she isn't even given a chance to now build her life and get that independence caz woh exchange jo karna hai uska... it is laughworthy when they try to convince you in real too ke mard ke bina jitna bhi achieve kar lo zindagi is bekaar and koi matlab nahi hai uska and none of your paisa or mukkam ya izzat is worth anything..matlab khoon khaula dene wala stufff but they are so brain dead that no argument works except life tab hi guzar sakti hai agar aadmi ho warna single women have no worth .as if saari single women dignity se apni life nahi guzzar rahi hoti when given a chance..*sigh*

Yes I liked that esp caz of that only that he saw her worth and how she is above all this and that kind of admiration he had ke aliyah madam can help us out caz she is smart not for anything else but for her talent and woh jo pride he had in his little smile when asking for her ..and the role reversal they did here ke usually a male dominated kaam ke liye she was needed .. and word about bilal this is BY FAR his best role and it is giving him that much margin and he has fully gotten into it

It should be releasing on Netflix but I think they’re releasing it in theaters which is a big mistake. The movie is in English. And niche. It’s not going to do well. It has ott written all over it.

urhmm did i actually read alia is now Being submissive and not being independent qand have no choice and would be better off and azaad without him and this is not empowerment.. URHMMMMMM Really?? after the first 30 sec doing dhoodh ka dhoodh paani ka paani.. WHEN ATLAST ALIA HAS A CHOICE ANd she makes the Decision for self and stands up and how?

this Episode finally Gave the Decision Making In hands of Alia and ibrahim.. They are finally In a Position where They can Make the choice and take their lives in their Hand but sure out of all this is what people didn;t understand and they think alia is under some pressure ya obligation when Finally this is all about HER CONSENT Her Clear headed thoughts and her Making a Conscious choice and why

Absolutlyyyy Loved how she was straight up clear and confident Ke ab kuch bhi ho jaaye she won't ever go back to that hell hole where it is even more suffocating than a grave.. teh way she instantly decides ke she has to leave with ibrahim as he has no where to go just like her but how thye both are like alag hona hai but dono ko itne Unsheltered museebat haalat main bhi nahi chodna hai.. she instantly packs her thigns and is liek ok when you find some thikana i have to be woth you caz you are int his for me as he tells her ke main masjid wapis toh jaa nahi raha and then when at the graveyard she is liek youa re free to go your way he is liek aapko bina chatt ke aise khule aasmna ke neeche toh chod nahi sakta.. wohi na ke uncertainity hai and nahi hai kuch sovha samjha yet tht sense of responsibility and companionship and care and basic Humanity coming thru.

anyway ispe baad maina ati hoon.. Loved how when he asks her about the talak she goes nope caz right now this is Her freedom.. don't think of that and when he says iss tarah paband ho jaayegi she will be bounded as they anyway never has to meet ever again she goes so what even that pabandi that boundedness is freedom for her caz she can she won't be forced to ever go back so yeah.. IT IS WHAT her solution is her azzaadi is. Teh way she rightfully flipped it for her self bohat dabb liye unho ne kia na iss qayamt main dhakka dena well she foudn ehr freedom in that bondage like this.. then the way teh bhai tries to stop her and how Humare ladke ko mial his heroic moments he hears her screaming about ibrahim ki paredhasni main ke woh kahan jayega kya karega let her go and bhai as i said in our chat too. SETTIMAAAR .. that is one scene of the year for me totally int op 5 fav scene. the kind of calm and absolute control and shaaant bodylanguage yet fire in eyes and walk from BILAL there OMG FIERCE AND HEROISM at it's peak ek DUM SHAANDAAARRRR it is the whole ek quiteness ek bohat his controlled way main dikhana woh heroic moment that stands out and makes you scream and clap.. WAHHHH idk i am not able to explain it is sooo udnerstated but wohi usko 10x more impactful and jhatka lagane wala banta hai wowwwwww......

uske baad we get to see yousaf chacha and mariam chachi such loveable couple at the church and alia ka backstory.. again so beautifully woven inter communal relationships and woh jo ab khatam ho raha hai unity woh dikhana . also we see where alia gets her interest in mechanics/electrical enginerring. chota sa thing but so much is said and shown so beautifully... the way they reminisce the past and ibrahim ko ek dum warmly welcome just liketheir own and his smiles listenign about alia ka childhood. woh new couple ko ek dusre se introduce karana wala thign so well doen yet it is emotional .in all this also ibrahim being awkward initially at the church but slowly becoming more relaxed as the conversatiosn start.. I also really am liking how alia shares so much with him about her childhood about her thoughts the conversations where they get a chance just flow and he just mostly listens but still woh ek jo bohat slowloy grow kar raha hai haq just in the way they look and all it is extremly extremely subtle as in you blinka nd you would miss but ab itna trust and itna woh grow kar raha hai sense of protection.once again here he mentions divorce and she says ke ek baar keh dia na samjha dia na toh yehi hai her decision... and aisa nahi hai ke ibrahim ke paas consent nahi hai ab hai.

i was touched by how they are showing the inter faith stuff so so so beautifully withhout making koi bhi scene we have a maulvi who helped them jitna bhi he could and is staying mum last week adn this week we have the caretaker fo a church being alia ke liye jaan de sakte hain as they owe it to her father and that we have such open minded heads/clerics in any faith and that shown in such a beautiful positive light. that sense of community like that.. then humare Kids get to go and finally get an outfit change and how adorable was ibrahim buying the khakri for her from the bus station as they are hungry and then bus main conducter asking them to sit together.. now idk thoda am confused end part main pehle mujhe laga they palnned ke jahan utreinge alag ho jaayeinge to portect each other but then laga ke kho gaye ahin donoa nd are looking for each other idhar udhar and wohi cliff hanger hain.. the amoutn of pareshani they both had for the other one even though they barelya re apart for few mins and lost each other for a bit.. also woh yousaf chacha ki beti lagr ahi hai anita and seems like she will get them a place let's see.. abaki shabbir ka iss baar bas montonous tha bhagane and peecha karna...

this week the story beautifully transitioned into present and what lies ahead and so swiftly making the change. Once again acting was A++ uff bilal doing it all from eyes when he needs it to have fire it had and when he needs to be melting and dying in apreshaani it has that.

special mention of the moment when the conductor asks him who is she thinkign that he is pareshaan karooingn a fellow passenger and the way he is speechless man literally is shell shocked and has no answer ke kya bole and hsi khamoshi making the conducter suspicious and then alia breaks off the tension with shohar hai mera and he looks at her all snappping out. other than the moent at home..

baaki i had to laugh at woh saas being alia ko talak ho gayi to sabka muh kaala hoga somethign like this acting as if unke bete ne di hinahi talk yeah right lol..

yeh yopusaf chacha wale actor uncle is slaying he is a relatively new find with green and maine inka jitna bhi kaam dekha hai he is just stupendous and yahan itne ache yousaf chachaand then huamri meenu ke itne positive dad. haiiii smiley32and also literally such diverse roles and so much verstality he is bringing manjhe huye uncle ek dum.. ab yehi 2 roles he ahs to play punjabi in both ek gaoon wala punjabi and yahan lahori christian punjabi with local dialect from the area and so differently palyed both.. outstanding

i may have been missing more but aahhhhhhhhh Love is a small word for this show and the way it is so intelligently progressing *touchwood*

matlab mujhe bilal se dobara se pyar ho gaya hai yahan

Checked out chandu champion..and while kartik is superb and the film is very well made overall too I still feel thoda na emotional moments main kahin kahin zyada keech gaye emotional drama.. and I mean kabir is such a pro.at kab kaise kis waqt emotions nichodne hain he did fine for most part but some parts did feel that ok ab sentiment thoda sa zyada ho gaya but I still enjoyed it..and esp considering that the promo gave me a lazy blah feel it was decent to good..

But plz fire the person who did kartik's aged look..kya bakwaas tha bhai..itna koi ganda aging toh aaj se 10 yrs pehle bhi nahi hota tha..anyway a film worth giving a chance for the Story for the tribute and a well deserved one..

Glad that kartik did something different and did it so well his dedication and commitment showed towards the film. But it was Vijay Raaz who made his presence felt..what a stellar act for such a lovely character

Oh I also have to say thank you to kabir for not having koi useless romantic sidetrack ya kuch for token sake and eyeballs on a grand scale and staying true to the sports drama

I'll give a 2.5/5

This looks quite good. Good for Siddhanth. it started off with too much similarity with Killand I was like nawww you can't quickly make an extremely similar copy with nitty gritty changes here and there but it managed to differentiate itself later on so am kinda intrested

I just watched this movie today too and I appreciated that they told the story of a guy who won a Paralympic gold medal so long ago but his name was lost in history somewhere.....lekin beyond that the movie kind of had a typical formulaic biopic feel without any real big soaring moments.

Kartik trying something different was applause-worthy but yeah Vijay Raaz's character stole the show easily as usual.
