I swear all these award shows hire a bunch of interns every year just for the purpose of making up award titles

My guess is probably because he attended. If another director wanted to come too they would have made up another award for him/her as well.

Disha’s is fine. It fits with her usual style. Shilpa’s has the plastic thing attached to her hips which makes it really weird. Maybe it’s inspired by Natasha Poonwala

It's amusing but sad that some of them have to buy or conjure new award categories to win.

I have heard that too but I don’t know if it’s true or not.

No, Karan doesn't own them (but certainly has influence).

Nandini Shenoy who has founded Pinkvilla in US (about 17 years ago), is still the CEO but Pinkvilla is now an affiliated company to Anand Mahindra's "Mahindra Group" (one of India's top 10 industrialists).

Those kind of Awards functions only serve as self-PR and financial undertakings (imo).
