Ya but Ambanis r based in Mumbai and share relations with BW people.
They r Gujjus and event is in Gujarat but not sure if they invited people from the regional industry

It's a private wedding despite how big it is. They can invite whoever they feel like. It's not a government scheme with quotas. 
They invited Gujarati TV serial actors to the previous weddings because they probably watch those shows or know them. 
Not sure of other South actors, but Rajnikanth was definitely invited. Only that Bollywood media does not really pay attention to his presence.
