Terminations don't seem to end for Prateek & LSD films.smiley13

Their newly launched Sony serial Pukaar is next in line to be shut down after SS & RM, while RSHD is already under scanner. LSD needs serious introspection to invest in hiring capable and sensible writers & creatives teams first, and then on strengthening current direction team.

Sony is ending all the shows, not just this one (can't say is a surprise when most shows there get more attention online than offline-where it matters). Part of their strategy to try&attract more audience. Same way zee is following Star&Colors steps and wants to air more shows/less minutes for each episode-except bhagyas that will always get special treatment no matter how repetitive the stories are. Test already started with RM airing short episodes and couldn't help..but can use the show is ending excuse.

Sony seems to be axing most shows...never know when they come and go🤪.And they have quite low trps but ppl watch online perhaps and there have been successful shows too ..But yeah except for one popular show which ran for like 15 yrs n that was not family drama in any case... was Detective stuff😎🤭🤭...most shows run short. But compared to other channels they actually do have good content 👍.

Zee and its 'luck' named shows...gosh they seem to run forever and ever n ever...Seems like they started in the age of dinosaurs🦕 and are still there in the age of AI🤭🤭🤭.

Producers of course are well aware of how their business runs and also how to balance profit and loss..Loads of financial stuff involved which of course makes sense to them only and not a general audience who just watch shows for entertainment 😉.

May be Sony expected a lot to rise in India as they waited 2 years for merger with Zee group hoping their distribution network will increase, bringing more paid offline subscribers to its TV shows.smiley9 But as we know it fell thru early this year with merger termination with ugly battle, and last month there was new that both groups agreed to close legal battles out of court.

So individual revamp for Sony is surely needed, when Star & Viacom are merging.smiley14

I did follow some finite fiction shows on Sony in recent years which ended less than 6 months. Same channel did run Katha Ankahee serial for 1 year due to its popularity, various awards it received and also online viewing was high.smiley1 Now even Kavya is going off air, but only after completing 1 year runtime with few separation time leaps already tried out in the story.

Both Pukaar and Jubilee Talkies are new fiction launches, it seems neither could attract viewership either online or offline nor create some positive buzz, nor have star power. So it might have been easy decisions for management team to shut them along with Kavya and revamp fiction.
