Not necessarily. She may appear as altruistic about his wealth, but need it in order to survive and fulfill the whims & fancies of her (good for nothing) ex-family. She had easy access to money in times of need.

But, I do not believe that her decision to marry Anuj was based on his wealth.

It’s definitely the Shahs who are the gold diggers who took advantage of Anupamaa being the wife of a rich man to fulfil their whims and fantasies.

It’s Dukhmukh who probably decided to get her married to Anuj purely for wealth in order to provide for his cheap, phatichar phemli..

Based on how the chars were presented, it appears that V (,baa & T too) were the ones who had heart burn that Anupamaa married up in status & wealth.

Even though Dukhmukh prodded her to get married, at that time, he might have meant with good will. But money & luxury is such a thing that everyone gets used to very quickly.

Overall, I don't believe that Anupama or Dukhmukh were eyeing his money/scheming to get it. But severely misused it & took undue advantage of it. So, in hindsight it might look like it was all his scheme.

I could be wrong, but that is my opinion.

btw, anyone who has taken so many financial favors would feel indebted towards him and remain grateful for the rest of their lives. But they don't have an ounce of gratitude for anything. They are the real ehsaan faramosh, IMO!

No she is not a gold digger. But she is a highly indecisive women who can't create boundaries. She should not have involved Anuj's money in any of her ex 's fancies, celebrations and all.

This is very much overlooked by audiance because there is a pool of Maa bhakts in the show who always do ma ki mahanta k Jaap.

As far I know anupama even did not want marry anuj it was bapuji and gk and Devika every body want anupama to marry anuj so after lot of hesitation she finally decided to Marry anuj

anupama may not be gold digger in the worldly sense means not using money for herself

she may not use anuj kapadiya money for herself but she use for vanraj and shahs (thats only called gold digging)

Wife do not mean you use your hubby hard earned money on your makya or ex hubby family or home every time. No husband will allow this in real life be it USA or india (or any working wife will allow her hubby family or hubby ex wife etc to take her hard earned money) unless hes not as rich as ambani and bill gates in world

she always use anuj money to make functions in shah house or take money to run business or give back loans etc

anupama is not so small kid that like 18 year old she was forcefully made to marry anuj by others

if she did not want she could refuse even in mandap but she herself declared in stage that she love him

shahs took advantage of anuj kapadiya and anupama allowed it all. Any other wife would refuse to give her hubby money for silly things that too for ex hubby his parents his 2nd wife godh barai her first hubby daughter grand photo shoot and wedding etc

and all this when vanraj shah had openly target ted anuj sister malvika with love affair for snatching kapadiya empire before

if some married man traps your sister(malvika anuj sister) in love affair will you give that man or his family money for party, godh barai, wedding etc no right no sibling will give but anuj is expected to give because otherwise anupama will make long faces and cry full night and not allow him peace of mind shes very good at emotional manipulations without making it obvious

The fact that she always talks about shahs and do not let anuj sleep at night in peace or made anuj to tell malvika to give job to vanraj in kapadiya empire when vanraj had done love affair and abused malvika before only itself is enough to prove why anupama is fully wrong. Any other wife will break all relations with ex hubby and his full family and never see their face or go to ex house if they do love affair with hubby sister for money or business ever

not only anupama used anuj kapadiya money shes allowed shahs to use kinjal mom money too from time to time and never been grateful to both anuj or rakhi abusing them throwing them from house ursing them grabbing collars etc
