Also, I often read Twitter comments criticizing Anupama during different tracks but when trps came the show was still rank 1. I don't think makers are bothered about absolute trp figures as long as the show is among the top 3 shows of the country.

We can blame anything we want -- bad writing, nepotism, etc., but at the end of the day most of the itv shows revolve around family drama, love triangles, multiple marriages, leaps, separations, or some supernatural stuff! Anupama is no different nor the makers intend to make it different!

The series was breaking unheard of TRPs of 4.2 to 4.5 when they showed the parts I am talking about. They never achieved those TRPs with bechari lead and Shah drama. They were on top but barely had 3 TRPs.  So the audience clearly sent the makers a message. The dramas and everything you are talking about is because of the makers and writers find it way easier to copy paste same formula.

It's not because of the audience it's because our creators are lazy and untalented and take easy way out.

Great creators set new trends which audience then crave. Lazy untalented hacks just copy paste decade old trends and blame it on the audience.

One may never be able to erase a large part of one's life. But you have to give yourself a chance to heal.

The path to heal comes with the eagerness to learn, to grow and break the shackles.

For that, as the first step, one has to recognise their actual situation for what it is.

NONE of this happens on this Show and to the Lead.

When did the TRPs rise?

1. When Anupama wanted a divorce.

2. When Anuj-Anupama briefly dated and got married.

3. Although the Adoption track was rushed, there was still curiosity around the growth of the new found family.

4. The track leading upto NYE where Anuj warns Shahs from interference.

5. When Maaya exposed the cracks in Kapadia Household and the neglect of Choti Anu.

6. Slow upward trend with the Udaan with Malati Devi Track.

7. The story recovered marginally with Anuj-Anupama separation.

So, essentially, the entry of every new character ignited the hope of changing the norm of misplaced priorities, disregard towards the new family and rinse repeat.

If the TRP trends are to be analysed, it concludes that the audience truly wishes to see Anupama learn, understand her priorities, stop mollycoddling adult married "kids", recognise her faults and correct them, grow in her chosen field, stand up against abuse of herself and her new family, invest time in partnering on building the new family.

But No, we are served with "Main Maa Hn ne", "Sab Sab Sab" and Matkadhaari who will forsake a 10 year old because her husband felt she neglected him and their daughter🤷🏻‍♀️.
