Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013): Underrated movie?

I haven't heard too many people raving about it or discussing it but it was one of the best movies of 2013. Loved the way the film highlighted the power of the human spirit.

I like Rakesh Omprakas Mehta's films. There was this film called Aks in 2001, which was pretty good too.

The film is a tribute to an Indian sports legend and a reminder that with determination and hard work, one can achieve the seemingly impossible.

Music is amazing too. 

Sonam Kapoor is bearable and Frahan Akhtar aces it.

I wonder why this movie is so underrated? It was a hit I believe?

and as far as biopics go, this is one of the best which has emerged out of Bollywood.

I remember enjoying the child hood portions where he was stealing coal from trains rather than the running stuff. Prakash Raj gave a nice performance. 

It was like the 6th highest movie of 2023. A won Filmfare for best movie, director and best actor for Farhan. An it won National Award for Best Popular Film
