Diljit Dosanjh is underrated by bollywood. Again the main reason behind that is there are hardly good roles written for sardars in Bollywood. His turban limits him in that way.

But he did a great job in

Punjabi 1984 (an innocent misguided young boy where government-orchestrated events turn him to terrorism) The film won a national award but the performance deserved more appreciation.

Udta Punjab (A cop complicit in corrupt system that begins to fight it due to love) Amazing chemistry with Kareena.

Soorma (he plays an inspiring athlete who loses mobility and has to work extremely hard through resilience to make the impossible, possible. In a very rare case he goes through therapy and begins to walk again. The possiblity was close to zero)

Jogi (Again a pure soul stuck in riots that sacrifices his life for others. Yes the theme of this film is similar to Punjab 1984 but the characters were very different).

Good News ( Many stated he was the best part of the movie despite entering after the interval.)

Many Punjabi comedies he carried on his shoulders.
