I don't know which criteria for a movie make a bar at the right hight to you and I won't comment on your impression except one thing: Deepika "doesn't have the knack for emotional scenes"... Did you sleep through the scene of Azad's 5th birthday? or what in your mind (and heart) was wrong with her acting in this emotional scene?!
...Its a theatrical experience. I don't think it will translate well on small screen.
One should try to not miss a theatre screening...for TV, it depends on the size of the screen ...it may work if you remember the theatrical experience...but I think watching it on a smartphone should be a no-go as first experience.
Pathaan, too, made another impact on the big screen than only watching it on the smartphone...
