Thank you so much ji.. once I got out of meerasim
Mode I enjoyed the interplay of other characters and loved all the scenes of MA begum and MK.. she has the best one liners ohhh my god the burn and she does not mince her words ..ππ agree perfect marriages are fantasy .. you have to work very hard and earn respect and also give to it every day and it requires compromises β¦ if you go with rose colored glasses you will hurt yourself very bad..
the original poster had MB, Mk and ME sitting on the chair.. ME was crowned the new queen with Mk her knight and MB the outgoing Queen.. it is basically conflict of generational thought process with love story thrown on surface ..

Wonderful analysis of MB! Loved reading it π
I have never found MB to be a villain as I don't watch the show just from Meerab's perspective only. I believe, in a show, every character's behavior should be judged based on their own individual character's demands as well as a member of the collective.
As you have beautifully expained, a mom's job is tough to begin with and MB's job is even tougher as her family size is much bigger and as part of her job, she is required to ask the uncomfortable questions and also take harsh decisions to keep the show running.
Perfect marriages are only in fantasies, in real life any marriage requires compromises. Not just from husband and wife but in varying capacity from other family members too, if in a joint setup. MB has made many and also given leeway time and again to accommodate and allow Meerab's 'reactions'. It's unfair to expect her to accept whatever Meerab throws at her.
She is looking out for her son's happiness. Meerab left him and she has seen her son hurt and broken in her absence, so now when his wife is back, she has the right to take charge and ask the tough questions!
This is not to say that MB doesn't have her own share of misjudgements and mistakes, she does but so does everyone else. No one is perfect, in this show or in real life. Everyone comes with their own baggage and all have to adjust and pick and choose their battles to coexist.
I have thoriugly enjoyed Bushraji playing Ma Begum! Powerful actress π
