Remember this one I posted a while back? The banjo always adds so much to the song…

And some songs are just made to be sung with a banjo… u remember this one ?

Oh, her voice reminds me so much of Sandy Denny's! 😭 It has the same haunting quality. Just listen to this one and see if you don't agree.

. The 😭 because Sandy’s voice is ethereal and there aren’t many voices that can move me like hers does. Music is not always 😊 for me, it can bring out so many emotions and that’s the beauty of it- that’s the way I like it 😳

i don’t rank songs generally but in this case I found I could do so easily 😆

You will be my ain true love is my favorite of all the Cold Mountain songs! ⭐️

Btw, is this country or Irish folk or a cross because the Gaelic influence (even in Rhiannon's songs) is unmistakable.

cold mountain is country / mountain music as they call it… . I think the best part of movie DVD set was the second part which had focused on the soundtrack … I knew you would enjoy Alison Krauss 😆

Rhiannon is definitely a combination of Irish / country as well .. given where she is from but also artists she sings with and references…

So instead. See this one. You know Jolene is my fav. And Allison performs this with Dolly in the audience :)

We haven't posted any Bob Dylan yet (HOWW??? 😲) so correcting the omission immediately. Also because I was listening to him today.

Lovesick from the album Time Out of Mind

Lovesick Take 2: I've come to prefer this version over the one that made it to the album. Bob's voice's so raw in this one!

I'm sick of love,

but I'm in the thick of it!

ABBA is my go-to band! I love their songs and Agnetha & Frida's vocals! The way they harmonize & hit the high notes. They are the perfect example of musical collaboration. The boys wrote the songs, the girls sang and together they elevated pop to something extraordinary.

Another ABBA favorite:
