And Guitarman brings me to Postman- Please Mr.Postman by The carpenters and the Beatles. I think Karen Carpenter sounds like an Angel but for this song I infinitely prefer the Beatles version - not just because of my inherent bias but also because John’s vocals bring out the raw pain and the desperation of a lover waiting to hear from his love so beautifully

Ahh this one is an oldie but goodie- Johnny Horton. My dad had his songs on a reel to reel tape and we had no clue who the artist was (because as usual it was unlabelled 😒😆) it was years later my bro discovered Johnny. And now of course we have Shazam for all such mysteries 😆
