i donβt think Amna and Hassan have any understanding of these characters. In their own words this is trash romance so they arenβt even thinking past the surface level.
There are any many shades of good guys but they wonβt act the same in any given situation. Is saad hidden inside a murtasim because he is in a one sided love affair with his wife NO. Because how long did murtasim wait to stake claim on meerab, none, I donβt watch the other show but I read saad writes his feelings in diaries hmmmmmmmmm murtasim will burn diaries, break the pens and dump the ink.
Murtasim prime directive he is a man of action, and the other guy is wait and watch. As far as what murtasim will do to rohail, did we forget the cake episode that was before she was his wife.
Can I say I love the line you wrote about diaries? That just sums up Murtasim. He is an aashiq, for sure. But not the one who would write poetries in his lover's memories. When away from the woman he loves, he rather lits up a cigarette and yells a 'GO' at her because she chose to not see him. His love comes with a sense of possession and a huge ego. He is someone who charges claim on his woman and has all the power and privilege too. Only inside their room, away from the world, is where he lets his woman be herself. Saad and him are as different as chalk and cheese and should not be compared.
Aamna looks like she's been forced to watch the show because it's so popular tbh. If you label it aa something 'trashy' and still go on to make hour long reviews on it, well, the show has something to offer for sure. Her putting the accident's blame on Meerab and saying she's lost patience with her while still complaining about the slap is hypocritical much. Also, all this while she hardly criticises Maheer who's far more bland than Meerab. The title of their review was enough to put me off. Stop giving the show an angle that it does not deserve. It will complicate things further in a conservative society like theirs.
Meerab's character might be a little weakly written when compared to Murtasim's but she's the only consistent character in the show from my viewpoint. I totally get why she isn't yet giving in to their marriage. And why she held herself back from meeting Murtasim, she was guilty, shaken and injured. If anything, Murtasim turned out to be a real kaan ka kachcha for listening to Haya's bs. This guy, before marriage, threw her out of his room and is now letting her barge into his wardrobe too, when his wife isn't around
