It was in fact RS's idea to take that story forward but bcz of low trps and channel pressure he scrapped it and brought this third gen. And I guess that kept the integrity of the story intact otherwise it would've prooceeded in the usual way witb ott drama and what not.

Someone (maybe you?) made the point on the mothership, that Kartk and Sirat had a longer and more stable relationship than Kaira who spent maybe 5 years out of what 15? together...
