Yes HDDCS, Company, LOBS, Pyar toh hona hi tha, Zakhm, Apaharan, Gangajal, Omkara all good films.

Even his Bhoot is one of few rare classy horror films in Bollywood which otherwise makes crass horror films.

His films will also get attention due to hit music. For eg 90s music is incomplete without songs from Dilwale, Phool aur Kaante, Ishq etc. Hit music goes in his favour which is why his old songs still keep playing on TV and get good number of views on YouTube.

And whether someone likes it or not, trend of good old entertainers and masala films will never go. So for timepass also people will watch All The Best, Golmaal or Singham, Jigar, Phool aur kaante, Suhaag, Divyashakti, Dilwale etc whether someone likes it or not. His old films have sizeable popularity on TV also. Just like Mithun's old masala films and Sunil Shetty, Akshay's old masala films are still popular on TV channels.

Ajay is having far better filmography than many other stars of his generation. From masala films to critically acclaimed films, he has it all.

Let’s see.

Hrithik has both commercially successful and critically acclaimed movies across multiple genres like : Kal Ho Na Ho, Dhoom2, K3G, Krish, Lakshya, Jodha Akbar,  Guzaarish, Super 30, War

What has Akshay got? Just name 5 movies of his about which the generations to come would be proud of!

Hera Pheri, Namaste London, Padman, Mission Mangal are definitely good films. Hera Pheri is one of most loved and iconic comedy films of all times.

And the other two have good message. Padman is especially praiseworthy for being first and only mainstream Hindi film that takes up issue of taboos around menstruation and menstrual hygiene.

Jolly LLB2 also has a good message on extra judicial killings and misuse of laws and abuse of power by cops.

Akshay anyday is more versatile than Hrithik who has no comic timing at all.

Akki does do lot of faltu films but it does not mean he has no good films at all nor any film which will stand test of time.

He is also someone who has made most improvements as an actor and has come a long way from the awkward and so so actor he was in early 90s. At that time he was so bad that only his action and stunt scenes were his saving grace. But he improved a lot and surprised people later with his comic timing and attempts to do message based films.

Hrithik has memorable films like Jodha Akbar and Super 30 or maybe ZNMD. But he does so few films that his list of memorable films will always be less.

So what? Ajay is a talented nepokid.

And he was, will always be a better actor than Akshay anyday. Akshay only has better looks and body than Ajay due to which he has better BO record. Otherwise as an actor Ajay is miles ahead.

Ajay has proven his talent as an actor in every genre be it action, drama, thrillers, comedy, romance, political dramas etc.

He never got favours from any big banners or award juries. He used to be denied film awards until he won National award for best actor for Zakhm. He never got favours from media either nor any stage show organisers.

Apart from Aamir he is the only one who had survived without support from media and had guts to criticise award shows and media, refused to do stage shows or attend private functions and parties of rich people for a fee.

Despite his success and talent no big banner ever adopted him nor did magazines give a damn about him.

He never kept getting work or attention the way nepokids like Abhishek Bachchan do. His father was an action director. Not a huge name like Amitabh, Dharam or Yash Chopra to keep pushing his career.

Thats exactly my point. Its how you define a nepokid. His father might helped him to direct him but his father was nowhere near big enough name to get him a big name banners to promote his sons career, so he had to struggle and was quite successful.

However I disagree that he's more talented than akki, they are both talented in their own ways. No can do intense roles and bring out emotions better than ajay, and ajay by no means able to pull of comedy like akki can. Akki's dramatic acting has also improved over the years where he was good in movies like Kesari and Special chabbis.

KPH is forgettable not like romantic classics like MPK or DDLG which still has repeat value. Krissh is probably his most memorable.

Akshay is nowhere in front of Ajay in intense acting roles. And no matter how much he improves he can never match Ajay in films like Company, Zakhm, LOBS, Omkara, Tanhaji, HDDCS. Akki can never be as subtle as Ajay was in Raincoat. Whereas Ajay can easily do comedy which is good enough and successful (even if not as successful as Akki comedies).

Ajay is a 2 time national award winning actor. Anyday more talented than Akki who would be nowhere if not for looks, fitness and ability to do stunts.

Akshay did some great comedy movies in the 2000s, that's where he shined. Since he went the desh bhakti movies way (not even doing it well, his movies are so generic now) he sucks. I hope he starts flopping soon but he has major support from the ruling party so that's doubtful.

Ajay Devgn always seemed kind of bland to me apart from a few movies like Omkara, Company or hell even Singham (a role that makes use of his limited skills). Very bland actor with no charisma
