That was very sensible of her - even Karnataka, UP, Andhra CMs did not. Maharashtra and UK CM - felicitating contest winners was extremely ridiculous and childish.

UK was not unusual. It happens in smaller and weaker states with less highly accomplished or popular people. Assam, Tripura, Himachal all do it. Maha was a huge surprise.
But PD was felicitated by the previous CM while he was still a contestant when he went for his home visit and the CM even asked for votes in a tweet. So not to do with being a winner.
That the CM lost his job the next week was unconnected with that event 🤣(THIS IS A JOKE)

Mostly successful film stars (for years) are picked as brand ambassadors - by states - not after one or two movies.
