Aru had equal opportunity in the second duet..so she didn't play second fiddle at all..as fans u r doing a disservice to her with that assumption..

My last post in this AT..I was here coz of love n admiration for Aru..hope and pray she achieves lot of success and love surpassing expectations.

Its been a while since I have genuinely liked a female voice. Probably after Shreya’s, it is Arunita’s voice that has left an impact. She has been noticed by Bwood and will get her due in the industry. She has a long way to go.

she is probably bound by Sony contract in the first year after idol. I think the Octopus video will help her gain more confidence in dealing with camera as well as media in interviews. I can already see how well she is handling the media and is a lot more comfortable. Music videos and shows are the money making thing these days especially since not many movies or Bwood songs have released. One has to adapt to the times. Bwood offers will come eventually. She already got a few offers during the show. Chances are she may have already sung some but will not reveal until time is right.

I think signing Octopus contract is a good step for her to keep in the public eye as well as gain more confidence. They seem to treat her well and are understanding.

There will always be shippers and media and YouTube channels that will try to gain viewers by talking about them. Arunita and PD both really don’t seem to care. They know their equation and seem mature enough to handle the attention and dissuade the probing questions.

Bold: It depends on how do you define 'treating well' and what do you think about Aru's capability.

To me Aru was treated very badly in the first song. Her singing quality was ignored and she was used as a show piece in the song. This is the same way, I noticed during Idol days, few PD fans used to consider Aru's existence as part of Arudeep only, not as singing talent. The project which was initiated to cash on 'Arudeep' popularity now needs to redesign the concept focusing on music, not Arudeep after the not so encouraging performance of the first song. Use of real name in the song was very cheap move to tickle the Arudeep fans and by now the Octopus team should have understood Arudeep will not make them successful. They need quality music, optimum utilization of real talent Arunita's singing capability for survival of this project.

If Ashish-PD think such high about Aru, they should try to capitalize on Aru's capacity for sure success in their first endeavour instead of giving her flat lines and highlighting PD with better singing scopes. Again, I am not talking about air time. It is the emotion, expression which are Aru's strengths and which make Aru a better singer by far than PD significantly was missing in Aru's part. To me PD acted as a selfish music director with the help of his room mate to show Aru down by reserving attractive tune, emotion, modulation scope for his part. If I was in place of PD-Ashish, I would let Aru dominate my first music composition for better result knowing the fact that she is the better singer having better skill to communicate with audience through her voice.

I am not against Octopus project but Aru should be in the driving seat of the project. If the Octopus team is serious about the project, they will work on this. If they are not serious and they are actually in a mood to create fuss using Arudeep, I am afraid the project will not complete. It will stop in the middle.

A PD fan will never understand the sentiment of Aru fans about the first song because to them the song is nice as PD dominates, Aru got a chance to sing with with PD, Aru looks beautiful in the song! They will think Aru fans are irrational.

I may sound irrational but only Aru can save this Octopus project with meaningful active participation of SMP. No Arudeep, no PD, no Ashish can save the project. Hope Octopus will understand

Manzoor Dil shows that the core Aru-PD fan base is now whittled down to something like 3-4M fans with the passage of time. They can create all kinds of smokescreen on SM with their crude videos, but the bird has flown.

If that Raj Surani does not wake up to the fact that his strong singing suite is the female lead then this project will see curtains down in no time.

Arunita's full singing potential can never be realized in these pairings, but they can do the best in the circumstances.

This 3-4M will become 2M by the time the next song comes around and no amount of squeamishly aggressive hard sell tactics will change that. Only Music will win!

Sweet ending when Aru speaks to her family in Bengali and says she will call after she lands as she plans to sleep now :)

It reached 23M on it's 15th day and is still trending in YT music.

The song has now almost caught up with O Sayiionii which was released 44 days ago.

It has now slowed down and further gains will take more time but I feel it will keep rolling to 30M in the next 15 days.
