because Indian society has an issue with pairing an elder woman with comparatively younger man

The real reason why SRK will not be opposite her, is because SRK still plays hero, playing with Neena will automatically make him a side role in the eyes of launde lapade. 

Unless it is a story oriented movie, where say SRK is willing to play an old man caricature, he will never work with Neena or any other old heroine.

It is all about status. 

Hrithik can romance a 20 years old because he maintains himself like that. Look at that skin mahn😍😍.
