Actress Tanvi Dogra of Jiji Maa fame is back on the TV screens with a stunningly different avatar in Star Plus’ newly launched show Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna (Dipti Kalwani’s Sunny Side Up).
Says Tanvi, “The show was to earlier be a love story on Star Bharat. However, it has now been transformed into a thriller drama saga and beams on Star Plus. I bagged this offer as soon as I wrapped shoot for Jiji Maa. And to be on air on the same channel in a new avatar would have been a tough challenge. But now I am happy to have got a show on Star Plus.”
Ask her about the story behind this very cute and nice look, and she states, “Well, the credit for this goes to the team. I was very sure that I wanted a change in my hair-do. I believe that a person can look really different with a change in hair-do. And the parting of my hair indeed did the magic. Also the sarees and the oxidized jewels that I am wearing add to the newness. And to top it all, my bindi and the nose ring have made a big difference. I am glad that people like my new look.”
Ask her about her character Kavya, and she is quick to say, “As of now, the girl appears to be a lady of very few words. She has gone through something major very recently in her life, and has come home for the first time with her husband Kabir (Zain Imam) and son. The people in the house have not accepted her, and it is only Janhvi (Shrenu Parikh) who has accepted her. So Kavya trusts her very much.”
Tanvi without getting into the depth of her character, states, “Well, I can only say that Kavya will go on to be one of the strongest pillars of the house, and will handle all responsibilities very well. She is a mature person, being a mother.”
Tell Tanvi that the promotional strategy of the channel did not have her as part of the promos, and that it was Janhvi Bahu aka Shrenu Parikh who stole the show, and she tackles this really well saying, “Yes, that was the play out strategy of the channel. And I take it very positively. The idea was the put to limelight the double-faced nature of Janhvi and I must say, the marketing strategy has been well-thought of and planned.”
Tanvi confides that she has always been a big fan of Shrenu, the actor. “I have admired her acting prowess, and for now to work with her is fun. She is a sweetheart and is fun to work with.”
Tanvi is very happy to be paired with popular actor Zain Imam. “I am getting a lot of hate messages from the Naamkarann fans as they have always liked Zain with Aditi. But to move on is part of life. Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna in addition to being a thriller has a very beautiful love story of Kabir and Kavya. So I will want the loyal viewers of the show to watch it and enjoy the same.”
Last but not the least, Tanvi is happy to be sharing screen space with Zain. “Zain and I are big foodies. Also we have this knack of bursting into laughter always. Overall, we enjoy working with each other.”
