Model and actress Kate Sharma had filed a complaint against Subhash Ghai. In her notice, she had mentioned how he asked her to massage him and while she did it for a minute or two, she made an exit to the washroom and he followed her there. He then asked her to come to his room saying he wanted to talk to her about something, and then, he tried to grab her and kiss her and hug her. However, according to reports in a leading daily, she has now withdrawn her case, and this happened four days ago. In the notice to the DN Nagar police station, she wrote that she wants to withdraw the complaint to take care of her mother and her entire family who has been highly affected and disturbed ever since she filed the case.
A police official also told the daily that they had approached her once again to record her detailed statement as she had asked for some time. However, she later sent a note asking them to withdraw the case.
Kate, while talking to the daily, said that she is fed up of the way the case is progressing and since her mother is not well, she would rather take care of her than seek justice for something that happened to her. She also added that people have only made a mockery out of the Me Too campaign because nothing has happened and that the police are busy filing just FIRs but no one is being arrested. She said that she never spoke to her family about what happened, but now that they've seen it on TV they are all upset and disturbed.
