Asim Azhar takes up another drama serial with a different avataar.
Asim Azhar, this young lad, is all set to conquer screens and hearts this year. After having dominated our playlists with his Coke Studio collaboration with Momina Mustehsan in Tera Woh Pyar, Azhar is working relentlessly to bring his listeners a true foreign treat with his upcoming single that has been shot in Hollywood. And even if that wasn't enough, the guy will now soon be seen in an upcoming MD Productions drama serial on HUM.
Slated for a probable late July or early August release, the drama is still in the works with a title that will be decided and revealed soon to the audience. The script has been written by Khurram Abbas and direction is being given by Ali Masood, which in itself should be enough to ensure the drama is going to be a true entertainer.
Starring Asim Azhar, Hina Altaf, Hira Mani and Noor Hassan in lead roles, this particular drama serial will offer a lot to the audience. The story will revolve around characters driven by fate and destiny and how things tend to differ from what one plans in life. However, this one plot isn't going to be all serious. There will be a lighter side to it as well, which will ensure there are moments of laughter while points are made to hit home with the story.
Talking to Azhar, about his character in drama, we learnt that Asim is going to be playing a very different character from his usual demeanor in the play. Asim has been styled by MD's in house stylist Sharjeel for the play and looks quite different from his usual hip self.
"I play this real simple guy, who is a bit desi at heart. He is a passionate poetry lover and has a lot of different moods to his personality in different instances. What I can say is that my character is what you call the "seedha sadha bhola insan" who isn't street smart at all." Asim told HIP.
The drama title still needs to be finalized whereas the actors have completed a short spell in Karachi. Another will start shooting soon and the serial will hit the screens from HUM TV later in July or early August.
