I don't mind some writers writing on social issues. Umera Ahmed for instance can give a strong message with a very simple narrative and her range is such that her stories can resonate with all kinds of people. But Farhat is such a brilliant romantic writer...it just sucks to see her being lost to all these social issues. Yeah, Udaari had a very strong romantic sub plot but it kinda got lost in the bigger and more important issue. I just expected her to come back to her strength after Udaari and write a good romantic story. WYKENS, the novel, had a very pathetic romance tbh so it's not a loss that she turned that into a social drama. But c'mon yaar! We only have a handful of GOOD writers in the industry and if they all start writing about one social issue after another, soon we won't have anything to watch on TV. Isse toh banda news channel hi dekh le.

I think in the drama serial they are showing Afandyar's brother's story in detail. He told the story to Zobia in like one page? Farhat has probably based half the serial on it. It's a waste really
