Why is such a big deal made when the girl isn't good looking according to them

As a girl, I have had grow up pretending hoardes of heroes were "handsome hunky men" when in reality they are ordinary/technically ugly men, who just have confidence to appear as a hero onscreen.

Not every girl needs to fit the realm of conventional beauty- if she has something to actually do in the film and not be a tattoo stuck on a wall, it's the work of almighty grace.

She's looking okay in some angles but more confident than before. For this role she's fitting in but can't imagine her in a traditional attire now. May be she can prove me wrong.
