Sanam AT # 3 - Osman Khalid Butt, Maya Ali and Hareem - Page 17

As much as i run the risk of appearing to be psychotic, i must confess to have most watched the teasers featuring Osman & Hareem aka Harib and Ayla/HaYla (or as Mais calls them, Haila), as opposed to the ones featuring OsMaya aka Aan and Harib/AaRib.

Lala, I definitely won't call you "psychotic" for that 😆 The Haila teasers do give us more in terms of their relationship and can't deny that these two, actors as well as characters, have the chemistry. All we got for AaRib was some heavy angst and friendly cuteness so it's just a big mystery~ now..

ALSO CAN WE PLEASE GET THE OST NOW GOOD LORD I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE!! It gives me such strong Arijit Singh songs wale vibes..

Hina Bayat is gonna rock the show. Her teaser was crazy!

And bruh, that cap though! 🤣

Hands down the Haila fight one takes the cake as far as the intrigue factor goes. Hysterical fights with expensive glassware breaking...my kind of fights! I loved whatever we got of Obi and Hareem in it. Idk if it was intentional or not but Ayla beating Harib was more adorable than vicious and I guess my friend's theory of this being a frequent affair between them has some weight to it. Urgh! Can we please get a nice long OST at least to get some idea what the show is about?! All the teasers have had such different feel to them ke I'm confused xD

At the outset when Ayla yells at Harib ("Jhooth bol rahe ho tum"), it actually appeared to have a humorous tenor as opposed to a distressing one.

And, i agree with you that Ayla beating Harib looked a thousand times cuter and adorable than it did distressing.

Also, Osman/Harib's dialogue delivery was impeccable (when he tells Ayla, "Todho, sab todh do.). That was THE highlight of the teaser for me.

In a nutshell, i felt that the class of the performances rendered by Osman and Hareem lent dignity and grace to the argument and fight in the teaser.

The palpable chemistry between Osman & Hareem threatens to jolt the foundations of my allegiance to OsMaya (going strong since Aunn Zara).

Not that I am complaining. I actually love it coz it leaves me spoilt for choice. 😊

p.s : The teasers featuring Harib & Ayla have compelled me to reassess my initial impression that Ayla may actually not be playing psychotic in the drama, rather she may be just suspicious of and possessive about her husband, Harib. And, maybe just a wee bit obssessed with the camaraderie that Harib is shown to share with Aan, which seems warranted and plausible from a marital perspective. So, er, I love you OsMaya, but more power to you, Ayla! Way to spice things up!

Imma confess, I'm slightly on the fence regarding AaRib here. Not highkey but I have my doubts. Too early to judge because well...we know nothing about them except for like 40 seconds of teaser footage. But..he's married!! She's single!! Her mother is hunting rishtas for her! HE'S MARRIED!! DeD was heck lot easier to deal with because they were nikaahfied and how utterly easy it is to ship a married couple? AZ was same pinch..their story started after they got married. ANC is outta question cuz Mair was a dick and Romaan is just the best thing ever *plasters chummies over Romaan's face*

I wish there wasn't a mental illness angle in the show cuz that's already a sensitive issue. You put a possible EMA in the mix and voila..it's a recipe for disaster. Maybe I'm too scarred by MM's pathetic script but sheeesh. This looks like the kind of story which needs to be dealt highly with care from the writing stage itself. Seeing Hum's recent stories (Udaari excluded), I'm worried if this might turn into another one of those stories I wish never saw the light of the day.

And I agree...more power to you Ayla! Had she been an abusive partner who has the tendency to be hot again, cold again, I think that would've been better (assuming that's not the case and her behavior will be attributed to her having a mental condition) Ya know..reverse the genders and show that wives can be as much abusive to husbands; showing love for a long period of time before snapping and raising hell only to apologize later on. Cycle repeats for a long time. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND. It's OsMaya. AaRib look preciously adorable. AND ALL THE POSSIBLE ANGST OH GOD!

At least release the synopsis if not the OST! Character descriptions? KUCH TOU DEN! Pak dramas be worst in this regard. We have no idea what to expect from the drama till after the drama starts airing. We get either full story because source material for drama adaptations is so readily available or this complete lack of knowledge -__- DAFFA! :@

@Lala - Yes, the OST had released mere days before DeD was to premiere. But there was a version of OST going round on TV before even the date of the show's premiere was revealed. My excitement for the OST is mostly for the fact that it sounds really good and I want to just listen to it. As well as the OST video giving us an idea of what to expect in the show...

I hope Sanam can spark similar discussions with DeD did. Anyway..Hum shows start with a bang but they lose steam and ultimately it all becomes kachra. Look at Mann Mayal. Whattay start to the show but such a disaster ultimately. Another show, Zara Yaad Kar, is on the similar road of torture as it refuses to end despite the show having NO logic. The burnt of disappointment is still strong so expectations for Sanam are mostly on the low to none side..

Just watched the promos.

Idk why the quality of this is SO bad but can't do anything about it. Hopefully Hum will upload the HD version tomorrow. But for now..
