Hi guys, the weekend is here and i have nothing better to do other than think of Devakshi scenes that I wish to see.. This is an attempt at one such scenario..
This will be a two or three shot begining a few months after Dev breaks up with sonakshi.. He is heartbroken and has immersed himself completely in work.. he doesn't spend too much time at home, stays at the office most of the time, refuses to socialise or even smile, He has become the old Dev Dixit, only worse.
*Present Day*
Ishwari sat in her room, immersed in deep thought. Her mind was at unease, but she couldn't understand why. She finally had her son back, all to herself. Then why wasn't she happy? She knew physically Dev was home, but his soul was somewhere else. To most people Home is a place with four walls, some of us travel the whole world to find it, others find it in a person. Her son had found his home in nutrition. The strong willed, sweet, stern and fierce brown eyed doctor that Ishwari herself had grown to love. She was a nice girl. But the thought of sharing son's love with someone else drove her to do things she never imagined she was capable of doing. She knew Dev would never go against his mother and she took full advantage of that fact in order to make sure Sonakshi stayed away from Dev. Both of them decided to say apart. But from the day Dev returned from that restaurant after biding goodbye to sonakshi, he wasn't the same. It was as if the light had escaped from his eyes. He was a mere ghost of a man. He would fulfil all his obligations. Wake up every morning, touch her feet and leave for work. He even had breakfast everyday on time. But she knew, it was because Sonakshi wouldn't have approved of Dev skipping meals and not because he really wanted to eat. But she kept mum. Everyday she saw her son become a robot. It killed her to see her child in such agony. He didn't tell her that he was in pain. He tried to keep a brave face in front of her, but his hollow eyes showed a different story.. Ishwari started wondering if she made the biggest mistake of her life by sending nutrition away from Dev's life, and whether this mistake was going to cost her her son..
Her thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of her cell phone. When she saw the name flashing on the screen, it sent a chill down her spine. It was khatri. The ghost of her past had returned to haunt her again. And this time, he was more dangerous than before. He had called her a few days back demanding to see her and he warned her that if she tried anything he would harm Dev. He had made some contacts in the underworld and he wasn't afraid to use them. Ishwari wasn't going to risk her son's life for anything. So she agreed to meet him at a deserted spot at the outskirts of the city.
Dr Sonakshi Bose was late for an appointment. After joining Dr sinha's hospital again, she kept herself busy by attending to as many patients as she could. That gave her chance to stop thinking about the huge hole in her heart that a certain businessman had left. Sonakshi knew what Dev did was as tough on him as it was on her, maybe even more. But she couldn't help but feel a little betrayed. He had promised her forever, and now forever was severed by the sharp knife of a mother's insecurities. She tried to be angry with Ishwari but she couldn't do it. She had grown to love her as her own mom. And after all, who can stay angry at their own parent. She dismissed these thoughts as she started her scooty. She had to make a house call today. Usually she refused to make house calls but her patient was in a lot of pain and couldn't make it to her clinic, so she agreed to drive down to his house which was located at the outskirts of the city. " Uff, why does Mr Mehta stay so far off" thought sonakshi as she drove her scooty on the scorching heat.
After driving for sometime, she reached a crossroad and wasn't sure which way to go for her patient's house. She parked her scooty on the sidewalk and took out her cellphone to switch on the GPS. She felt a little scared as it was a pretty deserted area and there were no vehicles or people around. She was checking the address when a car zoomed past her almost knocking her down in the process. She gave a disgusted look towards the car and thought, "Why cant people drive carefully" She thought about following the car and giving the driver a piece of her mind when another car followed the original car. But this time sonakshi stopped in her tracks. She recognized this car, it was the same car in which Dev used to drop her home. For a second, she was transported to happier times, but she quickly snapped out of it when she saw Dev's car stop a little way down the road. " What is Dev doing here at this time in this part of the town" she thought to herself. She was even more surprised when she saw Ishwari get down from the car instead of Dev and enter a secluded godown. Wondering what the hell was going on, Sonakshi decided to follow her.
Dev Dixit was sitting in his office lost in thought. He was often lost these days. He felt like a child who was lost on his way home. He didn't know where go, what to do. He just knew he wanted to go home. And his home was Sonakshi. The brown eyed Bengali beauty who had found a way into his life his heart, and his soul. He couldn't imagine a life without her. Breaking up with her was the single most difficult thing he ever had to do. And Dev Dixit had faced more than a fair share of difficulties in his life. He remembered the last time he saw her,when he met her at that restaurant a few months ago to end things, it was as if a part of himself stayed behind with her. As he heard the pitter patter of raindrops falling, he watched her as she walked away and for one second, he thought she would turn back, but she never did and he felt ashamed. He had let her go, possibly for the last time, and damn it, he never did anything about it. He saw the way she turned the corner and he wondered for that small second that he should follow her, but after that long speech about not wanting to hurt his mother and her request about him understanding her, he decided to go against his feelings and respect hers all at the same time. He swiped his face to get away the pesty fly that swarmed him and instead, he felt wetness. He looked up towards the sky and finally realized it had never been raining; instead he realized that he, Dev Dixit, had been crying.
