Agree. Kangana's performance was good but wasn't national award worthy. Don't like this bollywood lobby that is happening in NA in last few yrs, credibility of NA is diminishing.

If Kangana did n't deserve it for Datto .You also didn't deserve it for Dahan . Romita was well portrayed , but not award worthy .

More regional actresses have won, than the Hindi ones! Not Kangy's fault if she won two years in a row! 😳

Agree that Kangy didn't deserve the national award considering the regional movies...
But don't feel the pinch as Kangy is a damn good actress... Unlike Saifu in Hum Tum...

I agree with Rituparna...she was extraordinary as Begum Jaan! ⭐️

She shd have received the Best Actress Award for that role, not Kangana.

This was a role of a lifetime. The movie itself was brutal, hard hitting, the ugly truth of Partition.

I just watched Rajkahini at the Bengali Convention in NYC!

Ritu, Jishu, Abir all were there, answering questions abt the shooting. People were asking Ritu abt her raspy voice as Begum Jaan, she said she totally changed her voice to that raspy, deep tone, whereas her real voice is much sweeter.

I liked Kangana only as Datto, as Tanu she was extremely annoying and affected in TWMR.

But Begum Jaan was on another level! Definitely Rituparna deserved it more than Kangy.

Can u explain me how?? I always read in the forum that NA are the most prestigious awards bcoz of their credit worthiness... Is lobbying really possible.. a genuine question ..

Atleast Kangana did a good job as Datto...The final decision was taken by the jury and they felt that Kangana deserved it while there were many good performances by other actors too.
