Just when we thought that actor Mrunal Jain might return to his home ground Balaji Telefilms " he had debuted on Indian TV as Lord Krishna in Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki " the deal fell through.
The actor was approached for a pivotal role in the popular show Ye Hai Mohabbatein. He was offered to play the parallel lead opposite Divyanka Tripathi. However, the deal failed to materialise as his ongoing show Bandhan, produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, got an extension for a few weeks. Says a source from Ekta's show, "Mrunal would have fit the bill perfectly, but the dates couldn't be worked out. We wanted him to shoot with us immediately, which was not possible for him."
"Mrunal was keen on taking up the offer, but it was highly impossible to shuttle between the two far-off sets," adds another source.
