Amitabh Bachchan as Sunil Dutt in Ranbir-Hirani's Sanjay Dutt Biopic

Amitabh Bachchan to play the role of Sanjay Dutt's Father Sunil Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt Biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor.
After delivering four back to back classics, the expectations are sky high for Rajkumar Hirani's next film which is a Biopic on Sanjay Dutt. The director who is currently working on the script of the film is expected to start shooting for the film from this year end.
Now we hear that Rajkumar Hirani has signed the Big B of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan to play the role of Sunil Dutt in the much anticipated biopic. A source close to the development revealed to a leading daily-
"Sanju has always been very close to the entire Bachchan family. He considers Abhishek his younger brother and Bachchan Saab a father figure. When the casting of Sanju's father was being considered, the Big B was the unanimous decision."
Rajkumar Hirani who has worked in Sunil Dutt in the past feels that no one except Amitabh Bachchan can play the role and the director has been a Bachchan admirer since a long time. The source continued-
"Raju Hirani has the highest regard for Dutt Saab. He feels no actor can portray his integrity, dignity and warm persona better than Mr Bachchan. Also the fact that Raju has never worked with Bachchan Saab is another big incentive."
After wrapping up Sanjay Dutt's Biopic, Rajkumar Hirani is expected to start working on the third part of the most loved Indian Franchise- MunnaBhai.
