Chapter1- A new beginning Italics are flashbacks.

"Shukriya Ammi" a girl of ten in pigtails squeled. She ran inside her house, into a room where her baby sister was coloring.
"Ayat, dekh, Ammi ne mujhe dus rupaye di." She said, her eyes shining with enthusiasm.
"Haww! Ammi har waqt apko hi paise deti hai. Ice cream khilaogi Appi?"
"Nai." Aliya said, indignantly.
"Mein save karungi."
She went to her desk and opened the lid of a massive mason jar and grinned satisfyingly when she heard it drop with a plonk.
"Aap inn sab paiso ka kya karogi Appi?"
"Tujhe ek secret batau?" She whispered, her eyes shining with excitement.
Ayat scrambled near her.
Aliya pressed her mouth to her ear and said-
"Mein India ghumna chahti hun Ayat. Humara poora desh ghoomna chahti hun."
"Bhopal se aage bhi kuch hai kya?" Ayat replied in childlike wonder.
Aliya chuckled, looking more mature than a ten year old.
"Haan Ayat. Ek alag hi duniya hai." She sighed dreamily. Present.
The excitement in her eyes were lost in tides of time. And the dream one dreams in their childhood- to become an astronaut, a movie star, to travel the world, became just that.
A childhood dream.
She decided, enough was enough.
"Nai." Her voice rang clear this time through the room.
"Akele jana hai."
Of course there was protest and emotional blackmail at first.
And they had held a quorum and this topic was discussed much.
After all, she was a twenty two year old 'jawan larki'.
Char log sunenge toh kya bolenge?
But she was adamant.
And they had to give in eventually.
They were guilty for her situation after all.
And as she sat there in the dark, trying to escape the clutches of her past, her eyes fell on her dusty desk.
On it stood four large mason jar filled with coins and notes.
She gasped loudly, trying to reign in her tears that she had been spilling for days.
The coins glinted in the sole ray of light, tempting her to spend them, as they did a lot of times before.
She didn't spend even a quarter.
But this time?
This time she gladly gave in to the temptation.

I was reading my 10th std ki diary, where me and my friends had scribbled down what will we do before we kick the bucket. Means before we die.
Some are extremely childish and some unrealistic.
So what is the harm if my Aliya lives it all?
