I didn't like how he was abruptly written off - wasn't the original story supposed to revolve around these two brothers relationships (and how zoya is connected with them)? But Ayaan's thread stopped months before the leap - which was unfortunate b/c the Ayaan-Asad bond was incredibly cute.
