CHAPTER 1
It was a bright and happy morning, Mainavati came to Jodha's room and opened the curtains and lovingly said -
Jodha beta utho, aaj itna khaas din hai aur tum abhi tak so rahi ho?? Is din ka to tum pichle 3 mahino se intezaar kar rahi thi, jaldi utho warna pahunchne mein late ho jayega!
Without opening her eyes she stretched her arms as she breathed in the fresh morning happily and mumbled -
Ji ammi abhi uthte hain!
Waise bhi agar late ho bhi gaye to kya...hoga to wahi jo hum chahte hain! Humein wohi subjects mileinge jo hum chaheinge!! (She said proudly) Ab jiske 10th mein itne ache marks aaye hon use koi bhi subjects choose karne ke liye koi rokega nahin! Hum chahe SCIENCE with Computer Science le ya COMMERCE with maths ya ARTS koi mana nahin karega!!
She had already decided months ago even before her results came what she will choose and was very confident about her choice of taking COMMERCE with MATHS and a secure space in that class that she didn't give it a second thought!!
BUT little did she know what was awaiting her in school!! Something was gonna happen today that she never imagined, the decision that she will end up taking today will change her life's direction towards a future which she never even in her dreams imagined!!The day was about to change her life!!
She woke up and got ready to go to school with her mother!! She took shower and did her daily prayers to Kanha and said please always stay with me and show me right path in life always!!
She was so excited to be back in school after so many months, meeting all friends and teachers after sooo long with no burden of exams and all!! She just cudn't b happier!!
Jodha has always been her teachers favorite, but the reason was not her high scores...there were others with high scores too but she was favorite of teachers becoz of her other qualities like helping other kids in class with their problems whenever anyone asked, even though she knew some of them used to talk bad about her behind her back, were jealous of her and saying things like "Oh she gets higher marks becoz she is always doing chamchagiri of teachers and doing things for them." "She always goes and sits in front so the teachers can notice her and give responsibilities and ignore us."
All this was not unknown to her but it never bothered her as her funda in life was "U ALWAYS GET ONLY WHAT GOD THINKS U DESERVE, NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS THAN THAT " and "EVERYTHING HAPPENS FO A REASON." She believed it does not matter what others think of u, but what matters is what u think about urself!! She wud never say NO to anyone and always go out of her way to help out others in any way she can!!
The mother-daughter duo reach the school and meet other parents and teachers, exchange pleasantries! Jo excuses herself from
the group of ladies including some parents and teachers chatting with her mother to go and see her friends!!
Hello friends!! How r u all?? Everyone says HI to her and they all start asking each other which subjects they r going to take this year!! Some wanted to take Science some Commerce and some Arts!!
They all got a bit sad knowing each others choices as that would mean being in different classes and they wouldn't b able to see each other much!! Jo trying to make everyone happy came up
with the solution of meeting everyday for lunch to catch up!!
Right then one of the classmate Amit came running and told everyone that do u know this year the school is offering more subject choices like with Science u can choose either Maths or Computer Science, with Commerce u can choose between Maths, Computer Science or one language and same with Arts!!
Everybody got very excited to hear the new options and started
discussing! Jodha however was sure that she still wanted Commerce with maths as she had a real interest for numbers and hence loved maths a lot!! So thinking she does not wanna change her mind and stay with her original choice of Commerce with Maths she told her friends that she will go andsee her previous teachers and thank them for their contribution to her success in board exams!!
She went and saw her teachers and thanked them and told them that she will miss taking their classes as from now onwards they get new teachers for the remaining 2 years in school before they go off to college!!
It was a bitter sweet moment for her!
She was excited and nervous both as she imagined how her new teachers would be?
