CHAPTER 19
They drove towards the beach. Mayank after parking his car got down from the vehicle and opened the door for Nupur. They walked towards the beach. While walking none of them spoke but walked with a pleasure, a sweet smile on their faces.
Mayank stopped in front of the pani puri stall and after taking the plates of pani puri he hesitated a bit but Nupur immediately started having it. After having completed two puris already she looked at MAyank,who was still struggling whether he should have it or not.
"Mayank kis chiz ka intezar kar rahe ho?"
She asked while raising her brows.
"Eh,kisi chiz ka nahi."
He said coming out of his trance.
"To khao na."
"Nupur main soch raha hoon."
"Kuch sochne ki zarurt nahi chup se khao warna main bhi aur nahi khaungi aur By God tmhare saath kabhi beach par to nahi aungi"
She said while dropping the piece in her hand on the plate.
"Main to kuch aur kehne wala tha."
He said with a sheepish smile on his face
"main bohot ache tarah se janti hoon kya kehna tha tumko."
She kept gazing until he had put one inside. After completing their plates, they moved towards the ice cream parlor and with the ice cream they decided to walk towards the car.
"Ah,main to puchna hi bhool gaya tumhara paper kaisa hua?"
He asked while turning towards her.
"Tha to acha bas ab dhang ke marks ajaye."
She said while looking towards the ice cream cup.
"Ache hi ayenge."
Slowly the conversation gained pace and they both shared a few stories while walking back. MAyank could see her enjoying the conversation. The scene was perfect, the sun setting slowly and their slow walk and her laughter. Mayank started feeling more lost in her, he started feeling that he could give up everything for just one smile of hers. Her child-like innocence and her shining eyes attracted him even more towards her. He felt like pouring his heart out. He wanted to tell her everything, his love for her, his adoration for her but he just kept gazing at her until she waved out to him seeing him completely lost.

He kept walking and listening to her. He was enjoying her company.

He kept nodding to what she was saying and smiled with a certain pleasure,he had never been through before.

Nupur after finishing the ice cream looked at him and Mayank laughed seeing her.
She gave him a questioning look while he pointed towards her chin. She immediately knew what he must be pointing at and tried cleaning it but when he failed several times. He stepped forward and gently rubbed it off by his thumb. She shuddered a bit and closed her eyes when he touched. He noticed it and smiled and then moved backwards and sighed.

He looked at her intensely while she lowered her gaze. He again smiled and continued look at her with an intent smile as he enjoyed her sudden nervousness.
But soon he tried bringing a\up a conversation to make her comfortable. He told her things about Samrat and others in the house which she seemed to enjoy. She also began to tell things about Gunjan and others.
He kept looking at her. He suddenly was once again lost in her.
Nupur noticed something strange and said
"Mayank tum meri baat sun bhi rahe ho?"
with a confused look.
"Nahi..haan..mera matlb"
He said while coming out of the trance.
"Main samajh gayi ki tum nahi sun rahe.Huh."
Saying this she moved ahead of him leaving him behind.
"Nupur."
"Bolo."
"Kuch nahi."
MAyank just wanted to check her tone, he dint know if she was upset about. She seemed quite normal so MAyank dint try to give any unnecessary explanation.
Now the two had reached the car and they drove back silently. On reaching home, he bid good bye and left after she had entered the house.
"AGAYI DI TUM? KABSE HUM TUMHARA INTEZAR KAR RAHE THE."
Gunjan asked with a smile.
"Haan wo bas late hogaya.."
She replied without in the mood to explain anything. She wasn't sad or disappointed about anything, she was just too tired.
"Di fresh ho jao aur fir ma ke kamre me chali jana. Ma ne tumhe bulaya hai"
"haan theek hai."
"Maa tumne bulaya."
She asked while entering the room.
"Haan Nupur mujhe kuch baat karni hai."
"Haan ma kaho."
She said while sitting.
"Nupur tune notice kiya?Ab bas kuch hi din bache hai tumhari aur Mayank ki shaadi ko. Friday tumhare last exam hai aur us ke baad sare mehmaan ana shuru hojayenge fir tumhara aur Mayank ka akele me milna aur possible nahi hoga to bas main yehi keh rahi hoon ki jo baatein karni hai wo kar lena taaki kuch batein adhuri na reh jaye. I hope tum samajh rahi ho main kya kehna chahti hoon"
Geeta said while looking at her.
"Ha-haan ma."
She said while lowering her gaze.
"Mayank ek acha ladka hai."
Geeta said while affirming her.
Nupur simply nodded her head and was about to leave the room.
"Beta zara Gunjan ko bula dena abhi se tayariyan bhi shuru karni hai."
"haan."
When she entered her room, she checked her phone which had 3 missed calls of Mayank. She immediately dialed his number.
"Kaha thi Nupur?"
He asked in a loud,tensed tone.
"Wo main maa ke kamre me gayi thi."
She said in a low tone, contrary to his.
MAyank found it strange and therefore asked
"Kisi baat se naraz ho tum?"
"NAhi Mayank bas aise hi."
"Aise hi to tum aise chup nahi hua karti."
"Koi baat nahi hai. Bas maa ki baat ke bare me soch rahi hoon."
"kis baat ke bare me?"
"Tumne notice kiya? Friday hum akhiri baar akele milenge Saturday se mehmaan ana shuru ho jayenge aur uske baad kuch na kuch rasm shuru."
"Haan to isme aise chup hojane ki kya zarurat hai. Kya tum ye shaadi nahi karna chahti?"
He asked with little tears forming in his eyes. He was eager to know the answer. He was scared now.
"Karna chahti hoon par Mayank."
"Par kya Nupur?"
He asked immediately.
"Mujhe darr lagta hai."
"Darr?kis chiz se?Ye darr shayad normal hai. Mujhe bhi hai but ye koi issue to nahi hai Nupur. Har kisi ko ye darr hota hai."
"Ye har kisi wala darr nahi hai. Tum nahi samjhoge. I don't know Mayank ki ye normal sa darr hai ya us baat ka dukh hai ki main tumse nahi mil paungi aur Friday ke baad."
He smiled a bit n hearing this. Now,he knew what she meant.
There was silence. Mayank was happy and Nupur was feeling like a thief and therefore kept quiet.
"mayank Gunjan bula rahi hai main baad me baat karti hoon."
"Haan."
"Nupur main ek wada karta hoon ki is Friday ko main special banaunga humare liye. I promise."
He said to himself while smiling.

CHAPTER 20
The next day Mayank was sitting on his couch thinking hard how to make that one day special when Samrat entered the room biting an apple.
"Bhai kisi gheri soch me ho kya?"
Mayank had not noticed him get in and that is what made Samrat ask him this.
"Eh..nahi wo main bas soch raha tha kuch. Waise tu yaha kya kar raha hai.Kabhi knock kar ke bhi ajaya kar."
"Bhai agar ab mujhe tumhare kamre me ane ki permission leni hogi to bhai hone ka faida kya?"
"Bakwas na kar. Mujhe kaam hai tu yaha se ja."
Mayank said while getting irritated.
"bhai kabhi to aisa ho ki ap busy na ho aur mujhe apne kamre me welcome kare."
"Iss janam me to ye hone se raha isliye niklo."
Giving a dirty and a frustrated look to Mayank Samrat left the room.

Meanwhile Nupur was sitting in the balcony and thinking about her childish behavior the other day
"Mayank kya soch raha hoga mere bare me."
Not realizing that she was audible to the person next to her.
"Kis bare me bol rahi ho di?"
Gunjan asked with confusion on her face.
"nahi wo main aise hi keh rahi thi.Main kuch soch rahi thi."
Nupur said while trying to hide her embarrassment .
"Wahi puch rahi hoon di ki kya soch rahi ho. Kabhi kabhi badi ajeeb batein karti ho tum di."
"Haan tujhe to ab meri batein ajeeb hi lagengi na."
Nupur said in a loud irritated tone and immediately left in order to avoid giving any further explanations.
"Aisa maine kya keh dia jo itna gussa kar rahi h..."
By the time she could complete Nupur had already left the spot.
Mayank was sitting in frustration in his cabin as he was still unable to make a good plan. He had thought of a few things but nothing seemed appealing to him.
"Ab kya karega beta Mayank tu..main isse memorable to banana chahta hoon par kaise..kaise..kaise..."
He kept his hand on his face and closed his eyes and something flashed in front which gave him some hopes.
"haan..Samrat meri help kar sakta hai."
But suddenly his face lost its colour
"Nhi Samrat se ye baat main kaise kar sakta.. Maa ka chamcha maa ko keh dega aur uske baat dono milke mera jeena mushkil kar denge."
He sighed and again made a frustrated face.
"But mere paas aur koi option bhi nahi hai mujhe Samrat ki hi help leni hogi."
Mayank in the evening reached home early which surprised Shilpa and thus she ran towards him as he entered
"Mayu teri tabyat to theek hai na."
She said while touching his head and neck.
"Haan maa kya hoga mujhe?"
"To phir aaj janab itni jaldi kaise?"
"Bas Ma mera mann nahi lag raha tha."
This surprised Shilpa even more.
"Sach sach bol tune mere Myank ke saath kya kiya hai."
She asked while trying to frighten him.
"Maa tum aisi bachkani baatein kyu kar rahi ho?Mujhe mere room me jane dogi?"
"Haan ja nahi tang karungi . Maine soch aaj jaldi aya hai to todha mere paas baithega. Par maine bhi kya galat soch lia. Jaa."
Saying this she left leaving an even more frustrated Mayank.
In his room,he kept walking to and fro when he finally decided to talk to Samrat.
Mayank,as nervous as never before,entered Samrat's room.
Seeing him, Samrat immediately sprang up from his seat.
"Bhai ap..wah wah itna badlaw mere ankhon me to ansu agye finally apko meri value pata chali."
"ye kya bakwas kar raha hai tu."
Saying this he sat on the bed.
"Bakwas nahi Bhai socho aj subah hi ap mujhe apne room se nikal rahe the aur abhi ap mere room me.."
"Zada drama na kar mujhe tujhse koi zaruri baat karni hai.serious hai isliye chup kar ke baith ja."
"Aisi kaun si baat hai?"
"Bas sun kuch bol mat."
SAmrat immediately pretended to zip his mouth.
Mayank after gathering a lot of courage decided to say it in a go
"Ok..To baat kuch aisi hai ki mera ek friend hai aur wo apni fianc ko batana chahta hai ki...mera matlab hai ki ki wo uske liye kuch special plan karna chahta hai.. kuch aisa jo use yaad rahe aur who khush ho..aur kuch aisa atmosphere ho ki wo apne dil ki baat keh sake."
After completing all of it he looked at Samrat but knitted his brows when he dint answer
"Kuch bol bhi."
"Bhai ap bohot ajib ho kabhi kehte ho chup rehne kabhi khud kehne ko bolte ho main apko samjh nahi pata."
"Ab kehna ko keh raha hu na to bolo."
He said in an irritated tone.
"Acha acha ek kaam karo mujhe apne us friend ka number de do main khud baat kar lunga."
He said in order to irritate him even more as he had understood everything.
"Tujhe jitna bola hai utna hi kar."
He said while grumbling.
"Bhai tum bas mere pe chor do mai n sab plan kar dunga bas main bata dunga dono ko kab kaha jana hai. Everything will be perfect trust me."
"Kab nahi Friday ki shaam ka hi plan karna hai."
"Wo bhi theek hai bas a bap relax kariye. Kuch gadbad nahi hogi."
"Tujhpe mujhe bharosa to zada hai nahi par bhi aj main tujhe trust kar leta hoon but koi gadbad nahi honi chahiye."
"Bhai bas ap tension na lo."
"theek hai."
When Mayank left the room Samrat smiled and said
"Bhai main is evening ko itna special banunga ki tum bhi yaad rakhoge. Apki aur Bhabhi ki ye date superhit hogi."
