Darling, even in serial Ruqaiya is MEK. It's just not possible to ascertain equations between historical figures. However, what drives me to the show, is how Jalaal changed, and transformed into Akbar the emperor we are proud of. Whether MUZ had anything to do with it, or was it Jalaal's journey alone is something that only Akbar can answer (which is of course impossible unless someone wants to try Ouija board.) But, yes, what makes the story of MUZ and Akbar incredible was that, though Hindu princesses had been married to Muslim rulers, they had to convert to Islam and follow the customs of their "sasuraals." MUZ was given considerable freedom, in her choices and lifestyle and religious beliefs. Also, the fact that, after her marriage to Akbar, Man Singh also rose to a position of importance, shows that she was important to Akbar. Whether he was given mansabdaari after birth of Salim or before is something I don't know, but I guess is worth knowing (help History geek?). Why does this matter? Because, before Salim's birth, she was just a begum, not MUZ, hence maybe not that powerful (atleast in audha.)
Here's food for thought - MUZ a staunch Hindu and Krishna bhakth, had a last wish, to not be cremated, but to be buried per Islamic traditions. Wonder why?
