Dil e muztar ending

Not sure if this has been posted by anyone but I came across the wikipedia page a while back for dil e muzter and a different ending had been written there (although wiki isn't always reliable) and was curious whether the wiki one was the ending of the novel (because I was slightly disappointed with the show's ending after reading the wiki 😛)
