The malicious reports planted by vested interests in a leading daily about Ayesha Takia reconsidering her career plans, has not affected her career, according to Ayesha's father, Nishith Takia. "It was a bit disturbing when the news suddenly surfaced out of the blue. We were inundated with calls all day and night from well-wishers in the industry but we have got over it. Moreover, the reality is that Ayesha is probably in the best phase of her career at the moment," Nishith Takia reveals.
Nishith informs that Ayesha has signed three big films, all of which are set to go on the floor later this year. One of them is Nagesh Kukonoor's next film, DURR, which will star Ayesha, Gul Panag and Shreyas Talpade. Furthermore, Ekta Kapoor has signed her for her next venture to be directed by Satish Kaushik, co-starring Tusshar Kapoor in the lead, besides a UTV production to be directed by David Dhawan. As if that's not enough, she has been confirmed to play the female lead opposite Bobby Deol in Sa Re Ga Ma's GEET. Says Nishith, "Going by the offers she is getting, Ayesha's career is definitely rocking at the moment. She's got a formidable line-up of films ahead starting with Mukta Arts SHAADI SE PEHLE, scheduled for an April 6 release.
