Started with television, moved on to films with Aamir which received rave reviews.
Now hez back with "Shaitan" yet again his performance is appreciated by most of the people and critics.
If you guys are thinking here KARM is what our hero believes in then sorry to say here it is just a simple mix of RK & AM hehe.
Khwabon mein aate ho aur dil mein samaate ho
A simple (u mean simple huh) song to describe the hal-e-dil of rajeevians
According to Rajeev :
Arvind Mathur is a guy who doesn't know how to speak volumes about his emotions.
He is a guy like most of the men are who can't write thesis on love ,who can't write thesis on anger; it just reflects in their personality, in their attitude.
When it comes to Arvind he has two different fronts where he has his personal life which is his newly married wife & other is professional life.
He is not one of those conventional guy who would follow the system; he is one of the types who believes in himself and believes in righteousness of certain things & gets frustrated at the drop of hat.
Let's see what the critics all has to say on Rajeev's performance in the film
Rajeev masand : Khandelwal is easily this film's biggest strength, and even his tiniest moments have something to offer
Glamsham.com : Rajeev Khandelwal impresses and how! He plays the honest and vulnerable cop to perfection
Taran adarsh : Rajeev Khandelwal, playing a cop who's fighting his inner demons, nails the role, giving a tight, focused performance
Nikhat Kazmi(Times of india): Rajeev Khandelwal, the cop who doggedly chases them to their nemesis, proves once again (after Aamir) that he has great big screen presence too
Raja Sen(rediff) : What helps the film a great deal are the performances. Khandelwal and Raj Kumar Yadav are reliably terrific.
Anupama Chopra(NDTV): For me, the lynchpin of the entire exercise is Rajeev Khandelwal, who plays Inspector Mathur, a cop on permanent boil. His anger and fatigue is palpable.
Sify: Rajeev Khandelwal is super-cool as the cop.
Komal Nahata: Rajeev Khandelwal lives his role. He plays the character of Inspector Arvind Mathur with perfect understanding
Gaurav Malani(TOI) : Rajeev Khandelwal has amazing intensity, yet is wonderfully restrained and never goes over the top
MovieTalkies.com: Rajeev Khandelwal as Inspector Mathur reaffirms that he is one of the best actors in Hindi cinema today. Perpetually on the boil, Rajeev's Mathur brings unbelievable amounts of 'badass' to the table in his cop role, ready to kick heads at the drop of a hat
Zee News: Rajeev Khandelwal outshines as the cop who is following the maverick's case.
Mayank Sekhar: Rajeev Khandelwal, you'll notice, holds himself pretty well.
Mid Day: Kalki is excellent as Amy. And so is Rajeev, who plays Arvind Mathur, a cop, struggling through life, dealing with his troubled marriage and temper issues.
Anna M.M.Vetticad (Headlines Today) : my pick of this cast, Rajeev Khandelwal, whose exceedingly likeable personality and under-stated performance reminded me of why he was such a superhit as Sujal on the TV soap Kahiin To Hoga. I wonder why Bollywood is not giving him a better deal.
Subhas K Jha (IANS) : As for Rajiv Khandelwal as a twisted cynical successor to Amitabh Bachchan' angry cop from Zanjeer, this is a skilled actor with ample star-potential
The Hindu: Rajeev Khandelwal proves to be a solid exception. As the dare devil cop, who is fighting suspension and family fracas, he is the one who lends legitimacy when Shaitan becomes a charade.
thestatesman:The hero of the script is Rajeev Khandelwal (plays Inspector Arvind Mathur), who turns in a great performance after his debut film Aamir. Being an amateur filmmaker and world film enthusiast, the actor doesn't overplay his part or try to subdue his juniors.watch it for Rajeev Khandelwal's acting
Omar Qureshi: He doesn't dissappoint at all,hez intense & sincere; his performance is perhaps the USP of the movie. Every thing from his expressions to his dialogue delivery is very good. Girls go watch it for Rajeev.
