Auto Close for topics older then 90 days

Hi Friends,

This is to update that all the topics which are not active and has not recieved any response in last 90 days will be closed by the system automatically.

This is to prevent old topics coming on the top when its not that much relevant.

UPDATE:

Please note: When we say topic closed it means that members wont be able to comment on it if a topic has been inactive for more then 90 days. The topic will always be there and its just that it gets archived and not for active commenting.

So for example:

If I have started a topic on Jan 1 2008 and once in every three month someone or others are posting on my topic once in atleast 3 months will keep my topic active and wont be considered for locking.

but vijay what if a member stumbles across the topic finds it interesting but can't post
can continue by posting follow up topic?

but what do the red n blue evelopes indicate on topics?

Vijay please exclude the Avi and VM section !!!! Please !!! Coz i dont update them frequently but yes i do update them when i feel like. If this rule is enforced then even my shops will get locked !!! 😔

 I dont mind it for other sections though !!! Its a good idea for other sections !!! 😃

Blue envelopes means that those topics are Normal topics like not much discussion is taking place in that and red envelopes are Hot Topics i.e. these topics are HOT topics of discussion 😃


EDIT : It has already affected Avi section !!! Thank god u told this to us , so i posted a comment in my VM shop or else it would have got locked in 2 days !!! 😔

Fan-Fiction is also

If FF is closed den how we do it sometime we r not able to do it due to study or some other reason

Well we have given 3 months time before the system automatically closes a topic. So once in 3 months also if you come and post on your fan fiction that would save the topic from being closed.

k.. another good thingg... bt this only applies to posts without replies naa dz it?? or irrelevent topics who havent been replied to..   so can mods/GMs re-open it??
