Apologies for the delayed response, I had to rush earlier to do examination duties.

It's interesting to see the evolving feelings especially Sahibas- both towards the culture shock she's getting used to and towards Angad. She seems to not only be adjusting but genuinely enjoying the novelty of everything. Its heartwarming to read that. But its sad that despite having some "friends" she's still living a pretty lonely life where she can't speak about Angad with Veena for example. Angad is too preoccupied with his own work. Its tough on her but she's adjusting remarkably and I am rooting for her to enjoy the independence she is getting now in a city where people wont judge her. Will be nice to see her research and explore on her own next without relying on Angad or Veena. And I'd like her to find employment - part time maybe to become even more independent and eventually finding a full time job after her course ends.
Probably that is a possibility, but that is definitely beyond the limits of this fan-fiction. There are two reasons for that, which are my interpretation. 1. She has worked for the most of her adult life because of circumstances and had little time to enjoy, think, or decide for herself without considering unfavourable circumstances. So, I hoped for the character's more emotional growth and little breather. 2. I personally wish she gets to decide whether she enjoys working or not. So, this is an open-ended question for the readers to wonder what she would do in future. Will she be employed? Will she run a business? Will she stay at home and enjoy the luxury around her? And how much is she willing to invest in her work life?

I would like to understand more of Angads pov. To be honest, he is coming across to me as only having a physical attraction for the woman he's living with maybe because he's a hormonal male and not much of an interest in her as a person. If he's grateful that he got married to Sahiba over Seerat, honestly thats not saying much. Seerat is epitome of selfish and entitled behavior who doesn't give a F about anything or anyone. So saying Sahiba is better than her isn't saying much.
Sahiba wasn't offended by his statement but honestly as a reader I was.
Both Sahiba and I as a reader need to see if he is he doing things for Sahiba just out of obligation as a husband or if he has any genuine affection and respect for who Sahiba is.
Is he just "giving" and "providing" because he has to? Or is there anything, any value that Sahiba brings to his life too?
Its understandable that Sahiba is feeling like she's just an obligation in his life whom he is now stuck with.
Because right now due to circumstances, it seems like a majority of the adjustments have to be done only by Sahiba which is understandable but there has to be at least 1 or 2 things, even if small, that Angad tries out just because thats something Sahiba enjoys.
Well I will take it as a compliment because most of the story is written from Sahiba's perspective or third person's omniscient perspective. Even in that, I have only supplied information that is enough to explain the conflict between the couple. So, to sum it up, a lot of Angad's actions and interactions with Sahiba come from these perspectives where only things extremely relevant to the context are provided.
You will get to hear all the answers in the upcoming chapters. And I will probably do Angad's perspective at some point again.
As far as Seerat and Sahiba comparison is concerned, I brought it because this is a common thorn in the couple's life as a married couple and as individuals. And their marriage is more like a process to get to know the other person. These are phases of their life. Phase one, where he got to know about Sahiba because of Seerat. So, initially he starts as 'she is bad' or 'she is as bad as Seerat', and then in phase two, he is eventually gonna move to 'oh she is better than her' to phase three where he thinks 'oh she is completely different from Seerat'. Add onto this the phases of liking. He decided to marry the unknown sister of his runaway bride, he offered a compromise because he was desperate to resolve the issue. Just like Sahiba, he did not get time to process seeing Seerat in his house, married to his cousin and had to move on in his life. Given that, he must move on from Seerat and to probably develop feelings for his spouse, which will take time. The process will be ugly yes because no character is perfect or has a real redemption.
That being said, here are few things that I think make sense in the story. In the story, he was willing to marry a shallow person, so he might be okay with a diversity of people, or the partner might not matter to him in the same way the others might have found it relevant. All in all, this chapter is related to an earlier chapter where Angad and Sahiba fight/argue with each other. This chapter reiterated the same issues and concerns and would also give hints to the upcoming chapter.
I promise next will be fun and will do Angad's perspective! See ya in the next chapter!
