I duly raised questions about many banners being almost similar through pm but my concern was brushed aside saying they were similar but not identical. My fault was I trusted the mods and didn’t raise the issue further. So are we being punished for following the rules?
It doesn’t inspire much confidence in me as a user to continue being on that forum where your issues are addressed in such a nonchalant way. My tryst with the YRKKH forums ends today.

And I would like to add one point that Abhinav is not even in the center of the show montage that is aired before each episode 🤷♀️. So why the expectation that he be in the center of the forum banner?
I’ve never seen any banner contest rules that try to dictate the placement of each character. That is the creator’s choice 🤷♀️. Abhinav is still represented in the banner prominently with one solo pic, one pic with Akshara and one with Abhir. So how exactly is this unfair? The banner maker clearly followed the rules which asked to include Abhinav and even included all his relationships in the show 🤷♀️
The banner has such a lovely design overall but unfortunately everything has been sidetracked by arguments over who needs to be in the center 🤷♀️
Adding to your point even Hotstar montage and discription is centred around Abhira. I read an article in TOI that said Jay is a part of Abhira Story.(will share the link with you once i get sometime to find it.)
All banners were wonderful but the one won with fair voting. Once the results are out it's unfair to the winner to keep kvetching about it. I think the voting was fair and sq. Maker follows the rules provided.

We didn't give false reassurances. At that time, we said we would look into it and try to be fair. We did exactly that. We cannot be unfair to the makers. They all spent time to make these nice banners so we will have that winning banner for the next 6 months minimum.
We didn't ask for AbhiNav to be in center. We just asked the main characters to be visible in the banner. Is this show only of two characters. How were the banners even approved when some of the main characters were pushed to side. We raised concerns in PMs instead of discussing publicly or creating fan wars.
How is the voting fair when mods themselves are voting in favor of one fandom. The need for change in banner was to include new characters or just give new look??. 80% of the people use phones today. No one sees any other character apart from Abhira here.
The description on Hotstar is about AbhiRa and second chance at love. Akshara's second chance is with Abhinav, not Abhimanyu. This is what is being shown in the episodes. Also Hotstar descriptions are not updated often. For example, SP's top show Anupama description is about the FL starting a new chapter post divorce. A lot happened in that show after that. A new ML entered too, who is not mentioned in Hotstar description. Does that mean he's not the ML? Because he is very much part of the forum banner there. This one on Yeh Rishta is when the leap happened. Things have changed a lot since then. Acc. to the producer of this show, it is about the journey of Akshara, Abhinav and Abhimanyu. But Abhinav is hardly there in the banner. Even the kids are sidelined. Anyone who looks at this banner will think that the show is only about AbhiRa, which is absolutely untrue. So what was the whole point of banner change. The changed banner don't represent the current storyline. Also, if the mods made a mistake and the makers cannot be punished for it, then what about the people using the forum. Don't we have any say in this matter. Why should we be subjected to a false narrative on a daily basis? Unless, of course the forum is only for AbhiRa fans and that's what the banner results are supposed to mean.

Okay but neither did the mods said that the banner will be abhira centric only, did they? And didn’t they gave a list of ckts to be included in the banner? It was assumed that probably not all but at least the main characters would appear in the final visual on the forum. And sadly that’s not what it’s showing. What was the point of it if it was only going to show two ckts? They could’ve just kept the old banner. And yes the winner followed the rules, that’s not the concern. But the site itself isn’t showing all or at least the main characters on that banner. How is that okay? Clearly the show doesn’t only involve abhira, right?
This is the montage and synopsis of YRKKH on Hotstar, I don't see any other character than Abhimanyu and Akshara on their montage or in the synopsis.
You can atleast see all characters in desktop mode on new banner, Channel and Hotstar don't even leave a room for that, inclusiveness is not a thing when channel puts two people on THEIR banner
What exactly are we contesting here?
Banner competition started and rules were there for everyone to see and object to them. Moderators had to increase banner submission dates for ONE Abhinav fan, talk about not taking views of people into consideration, whole process was stalled for one individual.
During first round of voting, someone found that a member had submitted multiple banners with minor changes and objected to it right away. Voting was closed by moderators, duplicate banners were removed and voting started again.
Invite only members voted for their favourite banners then voting was opened for all, in this round, people who are objecting to the winning banner participated and selected banners.
If you had any issues with rules then those concerned should have been raised before or during voting. Due to suspected cheating votes of invited members were counted, if you had issues with this then again, these issues should have been raised before result announcement
After results were announced, just because the banner you wanted didn't win doesn't mean the winner shouldn't get a congratulation thread, they couldn't even accept their siggy and congratulations properly because people ruined it for her
This is not fair.

Sorry, but do you have any proof that it was stalled for 'One' fan? Based on what was written, they didn't get enough banners to conduct voting, right?
I was probably that 'One' person, but I don't think it was at all because of me. And looking at how things were treated, I am glad I didn't waste my time in making a banner seeing how only Abhira banners were treated nicely.
Anyways, at the end that banner does represent that forum - sadness with only sad faces. Postivity is out anyway... It's perfect!
Most people watch the show on tv and the makers also consider the trp audience the most ! Recently they have removed Abhira and Abhir in the monologue and just showing this pic ! Which is very clear that makers think all these 4 characters are important to their main audience! Even RS the producer of the show confirmed that Abhinav is a parallel lead in the show ! It’s just not about Abhinav but also the kids who r centre n life of the show right now !
Each and everyone who made the banners have put equal amount of efforts ,hard work and their time so I guess not giving a chance to vote for all the forum members to vote is unfair to the makers too! Anyway I don’t think it’s even worth spending time here on the forum which is clearly backing one side ! This is not just about the banner as many other forums where FL is happily married with another person still have the old couple centric banners !

But sadly I see no solution to the problem I shared.
Again it's not only about Abhinav.. But it's also about Abhir & Ruhi - the two kids who are the charm of the show post-leap.. Another character Arohi who's in the show since the start is pushed to the side.. An important character Manjhari which is providing daily popcorn content to viewers is nowhere to be seen.
Looking at the banner it seems as if only 2 people exist in this show 😂
I'm honestly in no way implying that the voting has been unfair.. I'm just tryna point out that this issue has risen due to considering IO votes only. If all are punished due to cheating by few it defeats the whole purpose of asking for a change.
What surety is there that in the next banner contest this won't repeat itself and we won't get stuck with another IO vote based banner!?
Rest I agree with you that the banner creators have put all their efforts and shouldn't be treated unfairly for mistakes made by others.
Not sure if I'll be here for another 6 mts. to see the new banner but hope the contest is handled better the next time.

I totally understand. See we wanted IO voting followed by public voting so that everyone got a say. Technically there was only one round of IO voting - there was an issue the first time so we had to cancel that voting and re-hold it with corrections to the banners.
But the issue is that despite us wanting public voting, the public needs to understand that it is about being fair. We have definite proof that one or more of the makers colluded with some people to try to rig the voting in their favour. When that happens we have to stick to what is fair. In the past, in such a situation, we would disqualify the cheater and re-hold voting or we would move voting to having mods do it only. With IO voting, we can now simply cancel public voting in favour of IO voting only.
Really there are 2 issues at hand here: (1) that it was IO voting only and that I explained above, and (2) that on the mobile only the centre portion of the banner displays. The second issue is outside our control though. It belongs to Vijay and the tech team and is something that he would have to look into so that people see a full banner and not just a portion of a banner that may concentrate on a few characters only.
Any banner should represent the show, but at the end of the day, we cannot specify that x character should be seen 10% and y character 5%. We simply give makers a list of characters to work with and tell them to make banners that they believe would represent the show and their own creativity. This means that if a maker is watching the show they will lean towards their favourite characters a bit more and if not then they will make a banner based on whatever they have heard or seen of the show. The same happened here. We simply provided a list of characters and makers provided banners based on the rules and list of characters. We did not go through and see that the kids were only seen once in the banner or that Abhimanyu and Akshara were in the centre. All we did was ensure that all the characters were on the banner and then leave it to voting.
Just tagging in everyone who brought up the same or similar issues.
