I really see people as they are. I don't like magical, miraculous realizations and suddenly everyone is goody-goody with people who have been mean to you. At least, I cannot be like that. I wanted to keep it real as much as possible.

I think the most beautiful part of the show was gradual empowerment of Kanchan and Gayatri indirectly through Anokhi. It was very thrilling to watch Kanchan finally say "to hell with this shit, I am doing it my way!" 😆

I think Bebo and Kitty were very under used in the story (Bebo more than Kitty). They behaved like air heads and didn't notice what was brewing between ShaKhi inside the campus! I think Bebo could have been a better antagonist than Shagun 🤣

What I liked about the twins.

They start to value themselves through Anokhi's actions.

They realise that to be given any value in the family, then need to work at it just like Anokhi does. You are given your due only when you make an effort towards improving yourself, improving your equation with your family and improving your attitude towards your close ones.

How true! After all, you reap what you sow. If you don't sow at all, how do expect to get fruits? It is always about learning and moving forward.

We saw in the episodes that their aim was always to look down upon Anokhi and to belittle her. But every time it has led to them getting scolded or punished.

Yes. They behaved like airheads. I mean I get the entitled behavior as Sabherwals. But they really showed that Bebo-Kitty had no other purpose 😆

Slowly when you live with someone who is good who means no harm to you, you have a tendency to also imbibe those values. Bebo finally realised that Anmol is not for her if he does not respect her wishes.

I also liked the allusion the girls make to not having been given any importance as compared to their brothers.

It was something that clicked to me in the initial episodes... I mean, they spoke about Yash (a little) and really a lot about Shaurya but never about the twins! They were pampered and spoilt, but were they ever treated as equals? Were their ambitions ever valued?

It is obvious that despite being spoilt rotten, at some point in time they must have felt the pain of rejection/non recognition because they were not the son.

Exactly, after all... Sabherwals are a patriarchal bunch and there has to be a chance that they didn't raise the two sisters as they should be. Feels like they were often oppressed at home.

I also liked the fact that Gaytri has started coming out of her shell because she cares for her children and would do everything to make them feel loved.

Definitely a good closure for the girls and their relationship with Anokhi.

I'm sure the twins grew up with having their bhaiyyas being doted on for being boys and felt discriminated against. So it makes sense that with their lack of empathy, they went after Kanchan.

I want Kanchan and Yash first! Curious to see how you will write their relationship in association with ShaKhi especially because of the support Kanchan provided to their story.

Lol! Anmol would never be redeemed in my eyes. Molesting a girl is something that is never an unintentional mistake. If I knew that a guy has molested/harrassed/eve-teased a woman before, I would never ever trust him again.

Yep. In the initial episodes, I noticed how the girl's studies or ambitions weren't mentioned at all. Like they spoke of Kanchan being unable to "sudharofy" Yash, but not a word for the sisters. I believed that they were raised to believe in male entitlement as well.

Kanchan and Yash coming up next!! You might not find their story as a cliche, but hopeful that you will see the intent behind it....

P.S. You know, initially, you wouldn't comment or like my stories but we used to interact a lot on EDT... I used to wonder, how do I make her read my stories.... She seems so insightful, I used to think I would get honest reviews from you😆

Exactly!! Isn't that what a lot of us do with people who we don't really like? We try to be civil for the sake of co-existence!! I mean, I never understood by ITV makes it all black or all white... Why not grey shades in a relationship?
