Shaurya’s just trying to keep peace and dodge the confrontations.

Unfortunately Shaurya has always avoided confrontation (that is the legacy of Shaan). When BM forced that engagement on him on Anokhi's birthday, we saw a shadow of Shaan in Shaurya, who did not stand for his girlfriend.

So we should not be expecting him to fight for Anokhi.

But he does have the empathy and reasoning ability(from his mother's genes) so that at the end, he is fair..

Concerning the comment about marriage, I was surprised, because he was the one who forced marriage on Anokhi...He is suffering from short memory loss...

His comment about marriage was a joke...I took it as such.

As you said, he does seem to let Devi have the upper hand. He stood up to her once after that engagement announcement and then again when he walked out the SH. He's unwilling to really see how bad Devi is and Aastha really needs to fix that. But his righteousness eventually gets him to support Anokhi though and that's a great Aastha quality.

Couldnt agree more!! Shaurya is a complete mix of his parents and he is well aware of that 😆😆

The way he avoids confrontation I am like - Shaan ka hi beta hai

The way he stands up for the truth I am like - Astha ka hi beta hai

The way he romances with his wife I am like - Shaan ka hi beta hai

P.S (Not SS)- I love how colorful our EDT is at the moment

You'd think we would have learned out lessons by now. All these predication are for fun only now!

I also agree that, with or without season 2, the fans deserve a happy ending!

We're badminton shuttlecocks and tennis balls going between Aastha's beta and Shaan's beta. One more to add is his savage one liners are totally Aastha too!

So her not changing and not willing to lose her identity isn't a new thing. She didn't want to get married because of this, because like you said, this would've been an issue with anyone she married. She's aware of what she's willing to give and didn't give Shaurya any false hopes. Shaurya on the other hand promised to be supportive of her dreams, so he's actually not living up to his end of the bargain. He knew there would be fights and he's not equipped to deal with them.

If they had time, they would probably explore all sides of this issue. But time crunch means the easiest topics get addressed.

I agree with you Anju but to me her not wanting to change meant no love … nothing wrong with it but she did want both and in the end she did agree to marry him on her own. She needs to take responsibility for that.

As for her ambitions, she seems to be in a rush and they keep escalating in size. Until now her ambition was to be self dependent and support her mother and sister. Now she has added on Bhalla institute to her list of dreams. It is a pipe dream unless you are married to someone resourceful like Shaurya Saberwal. It is a noble pursuit and one should dream big but “ hawa me udne wale zameen par aayenge”. I guess I am frustrated because I see no sign of growth in her from any aspect. She has toned down her habit to fight in everything though.

As for Shaurya.. I disagree with you, he is keeping his end of bargain. He is supporting his dreams but she keeps adding more and more to her dreams and associating it with her identity. He agreed to support her education and support her working when she is ready but now she wants to study and work at the same time. He would have never foreseen a fight over name change but it did happen. He is being very patient but she is on a roll. What I think he did not foresee was being stuck between his family and her at all times and being forced to choose. I do agree some of these issues are becoming bigger than they need to be because of elders trying to break them up which is unfortunate. If the couple were a nuclear family, none of the issues brought up so far would have mattered and they would have been solved amicably.

It is true that she did agree to marry him and she did know the problems they would encounter. She does bear the responsibility for her decisions. Again all those happy wedding endorphins made them forget their issues for a short while!

She has a right to her ambitions. I don't fault her that. But now that she's part of a couple, she should probably run it by him, and not just her best friend and mother in law. I do think that she's capable of pursuing her dreams on her own, but that's not what you sign up for when you sign up for marriage. Again this time crunch isn't giving us the time table we need or the connecting scenes that are needed.

I understand the frustration for those that want an evolution. I just didn't expect it from Anokhi so I'm not frustrated seeing her stay true to who she's been since episode 1.

You're sooo right that all of these issues are only blowing up because of outside parties. People are adding fuel to this small spark and causing a wildfire. But again, Shaurya should have had the foresight and he was warned! He's the one that refused to see their issues. He just wanted her in his life, come hell or high water. He thinks he can deal with anything, well he gets to prove that.

They've definitely given him amnesia about Tejvi for the sake of SH drama. He knows about his family dynamics. He knows Tejvi hate Anokhi. He knows how Alok is. All that awareness he had pre-wedding is gone now for the sake of story.

In the end, Anokhi chose to go to SH. And at this point the only solution is for her to leave and see if Shaurya follows her or not. Will Shaurya go where his Anokhi is?

Thursday episode!

Since the precap was very vague, no idea what the issue of the day is! But whatever it is, ShaKhi will have their nightly fight. Get ready to make that X on the calendar, Anokhi! Also they’ll forget about the promise not to go to bed angry as well.

Enjoy ladies! Can’t wait to come back to a new EDT!! Also can we all write in multiple colors and make the EDT really pretty?

Tag me!
