Balaji Telefilms, a successful production house was hosting auditions in Pune,
and Additi happened to go for these auditions and after that there was no looking back for her.
She got selected to play the lead role in Balaji's show, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and within a number of days, she won millions of hearts with her sweet and innocent character, Heer Maan who later became Heer Prem Juneja.
Additi's onscreen chemistry with Harshad Chopra (Prem, her lover in KDMHMD) led the pair to win a number of "best jodi" awards at several big award ceremonies, including the annual Star Parivaar Awards 2008/09 and New Talent Awards.
As well as winning many hearts in the show Harshad and Additi became loved by everyone offscreen too.
As Additi has also done a number of cameo roles in other Star Plus shows, including Kayamath, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and the concluding episode of Kasauti Zindagi Ki to introduce her show, Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil.
Despite being slightly apprehensive about dancing and live performances, Additi has managed to give some memorable live performances with other Harshad Chopra and Shweta Tiwari at a number of events, including Indian Television Awards, Star Parivaar Awards, Star Plus' Rang De India and Balaji's Diwali Rishton Ki.
After completing the successful journey of Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil and winning millions of hearts as Heer Maan/Juneja , Additi began a new journey, the journey to rule many hearts with her dancing talent and by simply being herself in Star One's Zara Nach Ke Dekha Season 2. However, she was the first contestant to be eliminated from her team. Additi being the most down to earth girl that she is, took her elimination with great dignity and stated that she was happy to have been a part of the show as it was a new learning experience for her and she also made lots of new friends.
After a much needed break from work, Additi has returned to the small screen to win and rule more hearts with her lovable character of Pihu, in Zee TV's new show, Sanjog Se Bani Sangini.
The show also sees the return of TV's King Khan, Iqbal Khan. In this show, Additi plays the character of Pihu, who is the childhood love of Rudra. Initially, she had rejected this role, but later accepted it and is very happy to be a part of the show as she sees the character of Pihu "a challenge and something she has never attempted to do before."
Additi and Iqbal's onscreen chemistry has won many hearts and both share a good "friendship" off screen. Iqbal describes Additi as a "sweet girl and co star who loves calling everyone, UNCLE."
