Beyhadh 2 - starting from where the show abruptly ended.
Maya plans to use Vikram against MJ and his family.
She pretends to be in love with him, but he disbelieves her at every turn. Finally, she manipulates him by slitting her wrist and writing a suicide note expressing her love, and how her past won’t let her move on with him.
Vikram saves her, reads the note and begins to give her the benefit of doubt. She urges him to kill MJ for her, but only after making him believe that his son Rudra is dead. After Vikram agrees, Maya gets Rudra kidnapped to keep him out of harm’s way.
For the next couple of days, she plays up her charade by doing domestic stuff like making coffee for Vikram, as they discuss their vengeful plan in detail. But without her knowledge, Vikram cleverly exchanges their cups every single time.
Some days later, the media is thrown into a tizzy as proof of MJ’s past misdeeds is sent to them by an anonymous source. He is also trapped in a major drugs and trafficking scandal. To escape from the cops, MJ flees, only to get caught by a waiting Vikram.
Vikram executes a chillingly similar pattern of events, as the day a pregnant Maya was tortured by MJ. It is revealed that he is actually the eldest son of MJ, born out of wedlock. His mother was abandoned by MJ, and killed herself. His purpose in saving Maya that night was to use her as a pawn in his revenge against MJ. It is also why he let her run away from him a year ago.
Meanwhile, Rudra escapes his kidnappers, and tries to save his father. He is accosted by Maya, who he hates now, and they engage in a violent fight. He almost manages to strangle her, and then realises that he can’t kill her because he is in love with her.
Maya takes Rudra on gunpoint to where MJ is held by Vikram. Upon seeing her, MJ taunts her, saying that she can’t ever kill Rudra, as she is in love with him. Maya states that MJ will never be able to use her love against her again; that her love for Rudra has a limit, but her hatred for MJ is endless.
Narrating the folktale of a king’s life residing in his parrot, she urges Vikram to aim for Rudra’s heart, where MJ’s life resides. Vikram pulls the trigger, and Rudra collapses. Seeing his son die, MJ loses his mind and in the tussle, gets brutally killed by Vikram.
Maya and Vikram share a poignant moment at the success of their long desired revenge. While discussing their future, Vikram suddenly falls to the ground. To his horror, Maya describes his symptoms as those of poisoning and reveals that she has been adding a special kind of poison to both their coffees every morning. But only she was taking the antidote every day. She tells him this is her merciless revenge for killing her mother and best friend and unflinchingly waits for Vikram to die, before walking away.
Next morning, Maya watches the news on TV in satisfaction, seeing MJ’s wife Antara and Aamir arrested for being accomplices in MJ’s illegal deals. She smiles seeing speculations in media about the gruesome murders of last night and that it was believed to be a drug cartel’s punishment for MJ’s exposé in the media.
A month later, Maya travels to Italy to meet a special someone. It is revealed to be Rudra, who is alive and trying to come to terms with his father’s death.
Flashback shows that on that fateful night when Rudra hesitated to kill her, Maya had told him the whole truth about her past life. However, she had placed the entire blame for Rishi’s death on Vikram. Rudra had wanted to kill him, but she had reassured him that she would take brutal revenge from Vikram on his behalf. Believing Maya’s innocence in his brother’s death, Rudra had vowed to help her in her plan. She had made him wear a bullet proof vest, and instigated Vikram to shoot Rudra on the chest.
As Maya and Rudra attempt to heal together from their violent past, she promises him in her heart, that he will never know the truth about Rishi’s death and thereby, never bear the guilt of helping her kill his father. He has seen her beyhadh nafrat, but now Rudra will see her beyhadh mohabbat for him.
