omg i know sooo many guys/men who absolutely loved ipk or at least liked it enuff to watch it everyday and have discussions about it! firstly my cousin who helped get me hooked, his wife loves lamp and wick and he and his daughter loved 'khushiji'. he used to sit at work all day wondering what asr would say to khushiji that evening and then run home and sit in front of the tv at 7.55pm and not move! 😆
one of my nephews (teenager) watched the show too, mostly because of his mum and sister, but secretly he liked it a lot and would ask me lots of questions about the theories on IF. he always used to get involved in the discussions about whether we sided with khushi more or asr more that day (no surprises, he liked khushi 😆)
have a brother in law who always used to make fun of us for getting involved in a 'stupid drama serial' until he caught the payash engagment track and was super impressed with khushiji and also with asr - he even loved buaji and mami and said they were the best characters! he started watching the show quite regularly and the only time he got annoyed was when his wife was swooning too much over arnav 😆
also have an uncle who loved the show and kept asking me for updates every time there was a cliffhanger or a track change as he knew i was on IF all the time and getting spoilers! 😃 he really loved the show a lot and was quite upset when it ended .
have a friend who because of his sisters used to watch the show religiously and really enjoyed it up until the forced marriage - he liked the way asr and khushi were characterised and played by the actors a lot. but after the ott comedy started he got a bit bored and just caught it now and again till the end.
also one of my friends has two young sons and both of them got hooked on the show with her! the older one liked arnav because 'he's cool' and because of the way he always challenged khushi and won, but the younger one's favourite was shyam 🤣 he loved shyam, he thought he was amazing with his master plans and wanted khushi to end up with him 😆
have to say a lot of the comments from the guys, including uncleji's too, were that they really liked barun/asr, they thought he was a really good actor and did the role brilliantly, and they all pretty much liked sanaya/khushiji and thought she acted well and was adorable 😎
but yes, men in my family do think i'm slightly mad to still be obsessed with a show after its done! they thought i was too obsessed while it was on and kept asking me about 'ur drama' and 'that mad girl' and 'that asr bloke' to get the gist of my mood that day 😆 now they're fed up coz 80% of our skybox is filled up with ipk episodes 😳 and when i told them it was going to repeated on lifeok they literally started crying 😆
