Episode 383 Discussion: 21st Sept 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for Newcomers to this thread.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

TRP aunties of the world, rejoice!! Pabbho with her talk of maryada, bahu, sarees etc etc is here! And today was all about her.

Pabbho reprimands Radhaji. Makes it seem like Radhaji is running a den of iniquity. "Na guru ko hosh hai, na shishya ko."
The scene is being set up for war. Pabbho doesn't want the bahu/s to be heroines. Wants them in full-length sarees. She delivers an ultimatum to Dips - my way or the highway. 👏 Looks like Dips is getting to realize who she is dealing with here.
RK coming in with Madhu, blissfully oblivious to the undercurrents. Pabbho is of course nice to him. And then gets him to touch hers, and then Radhaji's feet. Poor Radhaji.
Radhaji is weak, but she does love Madhu. And tells her (of course once Pabbho is safely out of the room 😉) that she is grateful to Madhu for being with RK when he needed her.
Hilarious how Dips tells Sikky to come with her...so that she can presumably give him a big yelling privately in the bedroom. 😆 BTW SM was quite good yesterday and today.
Sikky to Kukuji - is this any time to come home?? 🤣 They trade barbs at each other - great dialogues.
So Sikky thinks he is going to be a hero, and therefore spills the beans about the financing to Kukuji. Who promptly calls Amar Behl. Who will surely have some dirty tricks up his sleeve. Well, for sure we'll see more of that next week.
Cute scene with RK practicing lines, and then the two of them leaning in for a kiss 😳, only to have Madhu crush the wine glass, and spill wine on RK's chest. Oops. She does tell him he looks sexy though..😳
Pabbho does her bit of emotional blackmail - shows Madhu the jewelry, but then tells her she will not give her this treasured and symbolic jewelry until Madhu proves herself as the bahu. Why do I get the sense that that jewelry isn't going to be handed over anytime soon? 😆

pata tha..sab ubal rahe honge episode dekhke...😃 Here comes the Stone age values and principles, different for the son and DIL of the house, everything excused to the son bec. he's a man and DIL should be the sacrificing one..blah blah blah...

Scene no. 1, Pabbo is shocked to see Dips audition tape and it was hilarious the way Sikky was showing it to her exitedly & cherry on the cake, told her tht Dips went to audition for RK's film 🤣 saari pol khol di...Dips cud not face Pabbo...🤣 Pabbo asked Radha "ye kya ho raha hai"...ek behen overindulgent, ek duniya se begani..whats with Radha yaar? why is she different everytime? why is she sulking? I felt really bad looking at her today...but then, she didn't give any reaction to Dips pole dance 😃 Pabbo's one liners were all good..the moral of the story was that Madhu ka heroine ka sapna will face a lot of resistance from masi...hopefully, instead of walking away cursing Madhu or RK, she understands the whole situation..

Scene no. 2 RK takes Radha's blessings..a special unseen, unspoken bond exists b/w the two..liked how Radha asked Pabbo to not force RK..By God these moms..inko samajhna impossible hai ! impossible=ma ! RK asks Madhu to take blessings from both..👍🏼

@ the bar, Sikky & Kukuji exchange was hilarious...both have a gr8 comedy timing...Kukuji is not happy tht RK arranged the finance..

@RK's room...RK is rehersing the dialogues with Bittuji..for sure, Bittuji wud have said it better than Madhu..hhhmm nice scene but 2 things...the scene was totally bland , bec. now we're spoilt...they should move on frm these eye locks & hum hai deewane..at least in chaar diwari...the BTS video of this scene was much better..there is some problem with the editing then..why do they have to show only close ups? all the scenes look same...secondly , NF or someone tweeted today ke the story will pick up frm today, but there was no such point...I liked DD today more than VD..she was giving the perfect expressions...

whats so funny abt spilling the champagne? wrong choice of BG music..

@Pabbo and Madhu..excellent scene..this will set up the future track...like Meenu said , a track to lure TRP aunties...my 2 cents on it...it's very easy to write somebody off...but if there is a conservative person in the family, what options do the DILs have?

option # 1 , crib about it "how can she say this n that" , Madhu cannot do it

option # 2, agree with her and allow everyone to call you a doormat..also, upset your hubby

option # 3 , discuss it with hubby..which never helps

option # 4, ignore her & invite greh kalesh..roz roz ki chic chic...

Pabbo coined a golden word today "balance"..I haven't seen a DIL who cud perfectly balance her responsibilities with people like RK (demanding & stubborn husband) and Pabbo (conservative & not flexible, also who wants to hukum chalo on everyone) , so Madhu is stuck really bad..also, very soon a major storm is on her way when she will have to take up the role of RK's heroine...she will face brickbats from all sides...hope it doesn't turn into "aurat teri dukh bhari kahani" type story 😃 pehle saas ko khush karo phir pati ko, and take the blames frm all sides..DD said in her interview that Madhu is strong and independent..will Madhu show these traits?

Aaj toh Paabo was behaving like DABH's bhabho.. It almost looked like RS took the dialogues he wrote for Bhabho and scene finish kar diya😆

ok.. being a taskmaster, disciplinarian, traditional and belonging to the old-school of thought is fine but what is with the pracheen kaal ke vichaar that women are made to hide men's flaws/deficiencies 🥱

Btw even if I overlook the test for perfect bahu, who is she to decide whether Madhu is a perfect Kundra bahu or not? Paabo herself does not belong to the Kundra family..

The only living Kundra is RK.. So in that way she doesn't have to be a bahu to any of the Kundra's.. And she doesn't need to behave like a bahu to any of the Bhatias... Her association with the Bhatia family ,if need be, has to be out of love/respect but no social and family obligation as such

she can give barabar ki takkar to Bhabho hai na Zoya 😃 technically, she doesn't have a right..technically Radha also doesn't have the right..this much independence every person demands in today's times...but since she is elder & RK respects her , she loves the family , there is a kind of moral obligation of every family member to give respect to her by agreeing to her..Bhabho's case is worse bec. she is the saas there..she's a permanent fixture ... here along with masi, we have Radha the real saas who is supportive of Madhu...basically people will interfere in our lives as much WE let them interfere...Madhu as we all know is competing for the aadarsh bahu by default 😃 bahut nainsafi thi, kisi ko Radha jaisi saas kisi ko Bhabho jaisi...saari tele bahus ko Bhabho jaisi saas milni chahiye...jhelne dete hai Madhu , maza aayega..

therez a flip side to everything and Masi is there to present that flip side to us...flip side of having a career, of trying to achieve the balance b/w house and career, flip side of trying to please everyone...flip side of Madhu becoming a heroine...

If we remember, we demanded one such character for Madhu 😃 I remember Shri telling us tht we need Aayi for Madhu ...but where was she when RK acted like a jerk 😃

Is it the same show I was watching? . The genre has changed within 2 or 3 days.Hope it brings the desired results .. Massi or Pabbo has emerged from nowhere(Thank God not from a pond) and wields such a lot of power. So she would be the much wanted typical Saas in the show. Her dialogues about man woman etc is trash . .Not that I bother as Saas Bahu dramas are big turn off to me. I won't miss this MB. But I am curious of a couple of things. A conservative like Pabbo did not object RAdha's second marriage.? Is there an interesting story behind Radha's decision to marry Kuku? which made it acceptable to Pabbo. It was not for money/ support cause Radha was rich.If they try to bring out the link between all the oldies it would be a closure to MK"s suicide which had a good potential. This is not episode related but couldn't help commenting on watching Pabbo's clout. Bye and Best of luck.

The way I look at it, Pabbho is a cross between Bhabho and Mary Poppins, arrived to rescue the dysfunctional Kundra - Bhatia family from its excesses. She has the moral authority, because the master of the house has given it to her "Pabbho ka hukum sarr aankhon par" (or suchlike.) Think about the motley crew in this house, amoral Dips, spineless Sikky, parasitic Kukuji, weak Radhaji, and crazy RM. Someone's going to have to whip them into shape, and its Pabbho.

Of course, there will be the classic tug of war between traditional and inflexible values vs. progressive views and values, and you could agree or disagree with either side, and agonize over where the middle ground is going to be. From what I can tell, Pabbho wants to take the household back to the dark ages, and it would probably be entertaining and sometimes excruciating to watch.

PS: RK practicing his lines and the wine scene were definitely better in that BTS. Clumsy editing. Maybe we need to send Prittb or Charu over to help them...😆

No doubt RK mansion needs Pabbo. It was entertaining with Dips and definitely not with Madhu. Regressive MIL characters are always excruciating for me. A good business decision anyway.All the more happy if it works.But R.K as Suraj?😆

A nice episode, today almost everyone got BBBed by Pabbo starting from Radha to Madhu, the lion's share was for Deepali of course even Rk got to hear that he should take blessings from his mother too, so Pabbo is not at all a negative character, she is just a wise, and a tarditions-values-attached person

The conception of a Bahu for Pabbo doesn't include the bahu being a heroine, so one of the biggest hurdles to Madhu becoming a heroine is Pabbo, she might give her an ultimatum : if she wants to become a heroine she should leave Rishab, again because Madhu needs to help Rk get out of his problems, she might sacrifice her mariage for Rk's career although actually I don't see why she (Madhu) should agree to these terms, but as per the show's history, this is likely to happen, well this was just a random thought, it might never become true and I don't want it to become true either because this is going to put Madhu into the weak, stupid category once again. I just got this thought because people were discussing about separation etc, but no matter how important is Pabbo, I don't think Rishab will agree to her terms when it's about Madhu.
We are yet to know how AB and Kukku are going to create problems to RK
Rk-Madhu-Bittuji scene was nice, Rk made it clear to Bittuji that he keeps disturbing and interrupting their romance all the time ensuring he will leave them alone this time.
Rk seems to like the script, the film's name is "Shamaa" , does it have once again a relation with Rishbala's story?
RK-Madhu's romantic sequence was really nice, nauthy Rk😳, and Madhu felt weak at the knees and dropped the glass, I liked her teasing him about being sexy at the end of the scene
Madhu-Pabbo. well I like Pabbo actually but I don't know how much she will contribute to rishbala relationship's well-being, I mean sometimes Rk's stubborness and Madhubala giving up to all his whims is not always a good thing, but on the other hand we know definitely that Pabbo won't ever want Madhu as a heroine, so I don't know actually what to think about the role that will be played by Pabbo in the futur, I'll just wait and see, for the moment she has already given another challenge to Madhu to prove herself as a good Bahu and not only a good wife
